EDITORS' RATINGS OVERALL SCORE:

Overall

RATING

Exterior design is superb, but the supercharger-powered engine offers less performance than expected.

DETAILED EDITORS' RATINGS

Dynamics

RATING

Powerful, but rather disappointing performance for something marketed as "Sport."

Comfort

RATING

Ride is a bit firmer than a Range Rover, but still tolerable even with optional 20-inch wheels.

Function

RATING

Some of the controls are over-complicated, most notably the audio system. Power folding exterior mirrors are a welcome addition.

Design/Build Quality

RATING

The Range Rover Sport's exterior design is its best feature. The interior design, however, is too derivative of the LR3, and shares its fit and finish issues.

DETAILED PROFILE:

Luxurious Interior quality expected of a Land Rover.

High Performer Available with a supercharged V8 engine.

Comfortable Seat comfort for all shapes and sizes.
