An authentic off road vehicle
Vehicle
2009 Land Rover LR2 HSE 4dr SUV AWD (3.2L 6cyl 6A)
Review
This car is just plain fun to drive. It is great on the highway and very capable off road. I have driven in mud, deep snow and dirt roads. It may look like a Lexus but the LR2 can really go off road. After 6000 miles no problems. Seems to be put together very well.
Favorite Features
I opted for the no cost 18" wheels. This ride is better and you have a wide choice in replacement tire options.
Suggested Improvements
Make the luggage rack standard and bring back the 50,000 mile free service.
Very Nice for the price

Review
IT is a very nice car if you are looking for smaller SUV. there are lots of competition from Medz, Lex, BMW, Volvo, Acura ect. But the price is very fair for what you get. It is more like a truck than the other car- based. But still rides nice. Eventhough it is the lowest end Land Rover, it has the look and feel of the more e xpensive one, like the Sport.
Favorite Features
The exterior looks, High off the ground compare with the other smaller SUV's. The Brand.
Suggested Improvements
Again, to be in this market at above $ 40k, I should have rear view camera, power lift gate, Home link, and bit more horse power. Bad taste in the 09' that the door handles and side mirrors are not the same color.

AWESOME!
Vehicle
2009 Land Rover LR2 HSE 4dr SUV AWD (3.2L 6cyl 6A)
Review
The LR2 is the best choice in it's class period! The stylish and rugged look is what the land rover is about. The interior works for this vehicle and is easy to control. There is more then enough room in the back and excellent head room compared to any of the other vehicles that we looked at. It's a land rover, its unique and it's should be on your list of SUV's.
Favorite Features
My favorite features are the touch screen nav, excellent sound system and overall ride. The sunroof with a sliding screen is a added bonus.
Suggested Improvements
One improvement or feature that should be added is the electric fold in mirrors.

NO PROBLEMS

2009 Land Rover LR2 HSE 4dr SUV AWD (3.2L 6cyl 6A)
Review
I have just bought this vehicle while away on vacation. I drove it home 525 miles and it was a joy. Gas mileage was 24.8 - 25 mpg while doing 75mph. Everything works as described. I purchased vehicle with the technology and the cold climate packages. I must have bought at the right time because I got $10,000 off the sticker which put the price right at $30,800.
Favorite Features
I like everything about the vehicle other than the items mentioned below that should be included in a car this price.
Suggested Improvements
free scheduled maintenance, a garage door opener, console storage, 1 year free Sirius radio and floor mats.

Great car until you you need to buy parts. A cracked windshield 3 month back order. Front bumper 6 weeks minimum. Accesories out of sight. 1600 for a tow package, 1000 for roof racks. Already had a fuel pump leak 2 months after buying it. It cost 41,700 I tried to trade it 3 months later and the best i could do is 30,000 and that was at the dealer I bought it from, Before it had a scratch on it. So much for resale value. Drives great good gas milage for an AWD great stereo but will never buy another Landrover at any price
Favorite Features
Stereo Nav and gas milage
Suggested Improvements
Atleast keep some parts on hand and lower your price to a reasonable amount for accsesories

Fun to Drive
Vehicle
2009 Land Rover LR2 HSE 4dr SUV AWD (3.2L 6cyl 6A)
Review
This is a fun car to drive and is amazingly capable. It is truly a 4X4 and is not just a car with an all wheel drive attached. It handles like a sports car around town and a jeep off road. I have been driving 4X4s at work for near 35 years and can't believe how this rig takes all the drama out of muddy roads. This is a real 4X4 and Land Rover stuffed in about every technical option available somewhere into this high quality rig. No problems so far.
Favorite Features
Never met an option I didn't like and this has lots! The terrain response system is not a toy. Drove mine home from the dealer in an ice storm and never slipped a tire. The suspension is out of this world. Solid as a rock in the corners and smooths out potholes. Love the heated front windshield. I like the dorky key thingy.
Suggested Improvements
Bring back the free 50,000 maintenance. I would like to see an under hood light. Hard to check in oil in a dark garage. Make the 18" rims standard. More tire options and more rubber between potholes and rim.

I love my car!
Vehicle
2009 Land Rover LR2 HSE 4dr SUV AWD (3.2L 6cyl 6A)
Review
I recently purchase a 2009 LR2. I was impressed at what the car was able to do off road. I also understand that the same characteristics that make it a superior off road vehicle will relate to on road performance and safety. The LR2 has power leather seats, two sunroofs and a very nice sound system. It was a wonderful buying experience.
Favorite Features
One of my many favorite features is the terrain response system. it is like having my own 4 wheel drive expert in the car with me. A very close second is the powerful 6 cyl eng that allows me to get up and go.
Suggested Improvements
I am not sure if this is a improvement on the car... but i would like to see all of my maintenance to be included with my 4 yr 50K warranty.

Rent before you buy!
Vehicle
2009 Land Rover LR2 HSE 4dr SUV AWD (3.2L 6cyl 6A)
Review
The LR2 was my first choice because of the styling taken from it's big brother, the Range Rover sport. Thank goodness I rented before I took the plunge (I backed out). The LR2 is under powered and presents a problem when passing on the highway. The body roll is significant, and if you had to swerve to miss and object in the road , it could get dicey. The off-road capability is robust and it does about 90% of what it's larger counter-part can do, so, no complaints there. The seats are small, and hard as a board. The seating position is high and upright. The interior is small, without much cargo space. So forget bringing your buddies and their gear on an outing. The interior is pretty basic.
Favorite Features
The look. And, the gas mileage is as stated or better, quite a surprise. Good headroom. That's about it. Comparable vihicles have 30-50 more horsepower and 20+ ft. lbs. of torque. If the motor drive key socket system fails,I see the key getting sucked into the dash, never to be seen again.
Suggested Improvements
Larger, softer seating. Get rid of the stupid key fob that eats your key fob via a motor drive, and ejects like a CD, rediculous! The horn are the vertical crome trim pieces in the steering wheel (good luck finding it). The sun/moon roof only has mesh screens that you can close. More horse power.
