Hi mmalonso. Thanks for taking the time to share the details of your lease with everyone. I'm not surprised that the dealer that you worked with ran your lease through an independent bank. Land Rover's lease program for the 2008 Range Rover Sport is absolutely horrible right now. If you'd like, you can stop by the Dealer Ratings & Reviews section of Edmunds.com to share your thoughts on your recent dealer ... Read More

60th Anniversary Sign & Drive Special... What's the catch?
Written by: drvannostrand on Sep 8, 2008 7:42:43 PM
Hey everyone- So, television specials usually have fine print rivaling War and Peace in length which is always entertaining to read. But, I just hit pause on my DVR on the offer details screen and there are no shenanigans to speak of for their 60th Anniversary Event. What do you guys think is going on? It is a 4 year lease term which is a year more than is prudent (if ... Read More

Land Rover Capital Group's current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2008 Land Rover Range Rover Sport Supercharged with 15,000 miles per year are .00269 and 54%, respectively. If you were to lease with only 12,000 miles per year, the residual value would be 2% higher. The last time that I checked, LRCG charged a $595 acquisition fee on every ... Read More

Hi alwaysarookie. You were smart to find out the selling prices of the trucks that you are interested in. Many consumers forget that the selling prices of leased vehicle are negotiable and just focus on the payment. It definitely wouldn't hurt to find out what money factor the dealer is using to calculate your monthly payment. The only thing right in your whole post is that you shouldn't put that much down on a lease. Everything else is wrong. All Land Rover leases through Land Rover Capital Group include property tax. It is not a Scam, it is not wrong, it is not the dealer trying to screw you out of 60-100 bucks a month it is how the lease is structured and it is a better ... Read More

Hi, I'm new to leasing and a very poor mathematician, and am curious what you think of the following quote for a 2008 Range Rover Sport with luxury package and satellite radio, 24 month lease with 12,000 miles per year: $10,000 total due at signing, $823 per month. This is apparently a residual of 68% and a lease rate of .00285, with a $1,500 discount off of list price. I'm told ... Read More

Yes it is now six months early out on all Land Rover models. Previously it was three months early out and it only applied to 2008 LR3s.
