Hi jt1977. If you leased your LR2 back in 2008, I believe that your deal was run through Land Rover Capital Group rather than Chase (which LR uses today). Here's a link to its excess wear and tear guide to help you evaluate whether you will have to pay an sort of fine for excess wear and tear: Land Rover Wear and Use Evaluator Card. I just moved back to the US from overseas and tried to import my 2008 LR3. I was told by the registered auto importer in my area (Houston) that it would cost about $10-12k to bring it up to spec for the US market (though I could bever get a straight answer regarding what work was required). Mine was not a diesel, but I imagine you might have the same issues. ... Read More
My lease is also up, and Land Rover Capital will not budge on the residual either. If I buy a non-titled 08 LR3, it still gets the scheduled maintainance? As well as 0.9% financing, and $1500 owner loyalty?
Just as an example, I recently purchased a new 2008 LR3 HSE with everything for $40,000. This price also included the maintenance package, as the car falls under the 2008 warranty package including regular schedule maintance for the first 50,000 miles. I have also seen loads of new 2008 LR3 SEs for the $33 to $37 range, depending on the options. $37,000 for a used 2008 is a little crazy. Although, ... Read More
I bought my LR3 HSE in March of 2008 w/ lux, cold & heavy duty package. It is my first Land Rover. I have to say that I love this vehicle!! I've never enjoyed a car so much. I too worried about the reliability, but the dealer warranty is very reassuring. I've a couple issues that we're easily fixed during a normal oil change. The LR3 is so versatile on the ... Read More
I am thinking of buying a new 2008 LR3 HSE. It has the luxury package, cold climate package and some sort of body styling package which adds $4,000 to MSRP. Also has a clear mask and painted wheel wells which adds another $2,000. The overall MSRP is about $60K but they say there is a dealer rebate which brings it to $52K (plus other stuff I wanted to add). Compared to ... Read More
I just recently purchased a new 2008 LR3 Land Rover with 4700 miles on it and while driving 60 MPH on HWY the suspension system sensor was faulty and rose up while driving. I had to pull over and turn off LR3 to lower. I contacted the dealership and they got me in the next day with a loaner LR2 and they repaired faulty sensor that day and took care of ... Read More
I had a 2000 Nissan X-Terra SE had total pay-off and over $150K miles due to on-road sales ready for trade-in, had plans on purchasing 4runner w/out 4wd...and many dealerships gave me the run around on pricing and availability on a 2009. They wanted to sell me a 2008 4runner for almost the same price as I purchased my 2008 Land Rover LR3. I found this pricing by going to two ... Read More
Does anyone know if they are going to have any more rebates on the 2008's LR3's?
Just checked the prices for 2008 LR3 this morning and there is a roughly $9000 price increase. Has LR taken away all the incentives that ended on 3/31/09? BTW, I got mine at $14,500 off windows sticker of a SE.
land rover in paramus, nj follow this link: http://www.landroverparamus.com/inventory/?newused=n search for 2008 new lr3s and sort by price. about 6 lr3s listed for 39k will come up. however, if you open them up you will notice most of them are 35.9k in the comments field. good luck and let me know if you can talk them down even further.
These were selling prices. Tax, tag, title separate. I bought at Land Rover Fort Lauderdale and Land Rover North Dade, these are in south Florida. The Colorado dealer I got the warranties from said he had new 2008 LR3s at similar or maybe even higher discounts (but I prefer a good relationship with a dealer close by). I think it was Land Rover Flatirons. These were over 2 months ago, though, ... Read More
All, My 2002 Range Rover was going out of warranty and a lease on another car was expiring so I need two cars at once. Maybe I could have even done better going out of state (I am in FL) but what LR did was unbelievable on the 2008 BRAND NEW LR3s: 2008HSE Java Black with Satellite radio and full (three row plus cargo) heavy duty LR rubber mats: Sticker: $55,600 ... Your dealer probably has the best independent lease deal available on his computer.. Of course, it's almost impossible to know how much he might be marking up the rate, or if he has more room to move down in price. You can always check a website like leasecompare to see what they are offering.. to see if the dealer's bank is competitive... I share your worry about Land Rover's long term ... Read More
Thank you for the quick response kyfdx. The lease is actually not thru Land Rover, but a local Colorado bank. My fears with purchasing the vehicle is that then I will need to get additional warranty coverage for the last couple of years. From what I have been reading in some of the posts is that there can be quite a bit of maintenance issues that crop up after the first ... Read More
Hi roverdude. To the best of my knowledge, Land Rover is not providing lease support on either the 2008 or the 2009 LR3 right now. If this is indeed the case, it means that you would have to use its standard lease money factors to lease one right now. Doing so doesn't make sense, because Land Rover's standard money factors are terrible. Its current 24 month buy rate standard factor is ... Read More
How about a reply from a very happy 2007 owner? I am a prior owner of BMW (although I have only ever demo'd an X5), Jeep and Land Rover products. My 2007 LR3 stands head and shoulders above both Jeep and older LR and RR models. I'm in my 23rd month of trouble-free ownership and couldn't be happier. I won't knock BMW although I don't think making the X5 bigger made ... Read More
I am in California and wanted to lease a fully loaded 2008 LR3HSE (3 years, 15K miles per year). I got written competitive bids from five local dealers through checkbook.org (a non-profit car buying service that several friends had used with excellent results); none of the dealers were using Land Rover Capital. When I called the dealers and checkbook.org to inquire, I was told that LRC had ridiculously low residuals and ... Read More
Hello postermike. According to the latest information that I have seen, Land Rover Capital Group's current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 24 month lease of a 2008 Land Rover LR3 HSE with 10,500 miles per year are .00213 and 64%, respectively. Using these numbers, an MSRP of $57,950, and a selling price of $46,475, I estimate that this truck's zero down, pre-tax monthly payment should be ... Read More
Did you go to Prestige Land Rover???? If not go! Ask for Mani and he will get the best deal for you!!
Regarding Wiper Blades for the Land Rover LR3... I've had great success with the "Bosch Icon" Wiper Blades for the front! For the single rear wiper blade, Bosch makes the "Rear View" wiper blade! The front blades have a swept look to them. They also look superior, (my opinion), to the stock blades that originally came with the vehicle. They are also infinately more quiet and do a very nice job. ... Read More

Hi everyone, I contacted the local dealer for a price on a lease for a LR3. They gave me the "standard" offer now, which is on a 2008 LR3 SE, $4000 down, $599 plus tax a month, 36 months and 10,500 miles per year. I assuming they are going off the MSRP of this truck? They redesigned the dealer installed KIT wood fascia in late 2006 so it is better then the old version. The factory wood available on 2008 LR3 HSE does look much better as it is similar to the wood in the 2008 Full size Range Rovers. Land Rovers have never been much for highly polished wood though so it most of the wood interior in Land Rovers have a matte finish.
Hi ysauto. Yes, Land Rover is currently running a special lease program on the 2007 and 2008 LR3 in you area. I have not seen any advertised lease payments on the LR3 that would give you an idea of what sort of monthly payment to expect though. I would be happy to work up a sample lease payment on the LR3 that you are interested in for you if you provide ... Read More
It is doable with a low mileage lease short term lease on a Left over 2007 LR3 HSE. You won't ever hit that on a 2008 LR3 though. There is almost 3,000 dollars of lease cash from Land Rover buying down the lease for 2007 MY LR3s.
IN 2005 LR3s did not have bluetooth. You can have it added at any Land Rover dealer and it is around 1,000 dollars installed. When you are looking at the Land Rover website they are talking about 2008 LR3s and just about all of them have bluetooth phone connections. You need to go to a different Land Rover dealer as the one you are going to seems pretty clueless. Anyone that ... Read More
Your leasing specialist doesn't know what they are talking about. Land Rover has special lease deals on the remaining 2007 MY LR3s to clear out inventory. The 2008 MY LR3 does have a higher residual value but the 2007 MY LR3 has a money factor that is significantly less plus Land Rover has a couple of thousand dollars in lease cash on 2007 LR3s. freelander never had low range so what made you think the LR2 would have low range" I admit to not having followed all of Land Rovers' developments and so did not know the freelander was similarly crippled. 1) Very, very doubtful. Also, E85 is not any cheaper in most markets currently and you get less MPG. Less foreign oil, but little cost/performance benefit. You might see new clean diesel LR3s here... maybe 2008 or 2009 here? 2) Land Rover vehicles are never at the top of reliability statistics, but LR3 (and RRS) are a brand new design. They're less than 2 years old and are all still under ... Read More
Ok so now that there is some realistic looking media out there on the new LR2 I would like to open up some discussion on it. The latest video is here. http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/Features/articleId=110159 So what do you think? There is a real market here as proven by the RX and X3 models. Acura has the RDX coming out that should arrive a little before the LR2. None of these vehicles have any ... Read More
Just do a search. Most avergage 15-16 MPG with mixed use, which is decent considering LR3's "heaviest in class" weight. The EPA "sticker" MPG estimates are accurate. "Clean Diesel" needs to appear before we see more diesels. Diesels are currently illegal in California and New York due emmission restrictions. (FYI: California is one of Land Rover's largest markets.) Anyway, "Clean Diesel" will be launched within the next 2 years, and we'll ... Read More
Hey Chris, I totally hear you! I had a 1972 Land-Rover short wheel base in college. I continue to drive my 1989 Range Rover Classic.
