2002 Land Rover Freelander SE 4dr AWD SUV (2.5L 6cyl 5A)
We purchased the Freelander after
test driving it, the Jeep Liberty, the
Toyota RAV4, and the Honda CRV.
The Freelander was in a class by
itself with respect to the ride, comfort,
and off-road ability. We have had a
few electrical problems with the
driver side window and the
moonroof, and the speakers in the
front doors vibrated, but the dealer
fixed them rapidly and we have not
had trouble since. We really like the
vehicle and would consider getting
Quiet engine and handles well,
especially on wet roads. Great
looking, both inside and out. Cup
holders are very good. Leather seats
are really comfortable. You would
never know that you are riding in a
SUV that is so capable off-road.
Need to fix the electrical glitches.
Cooler AC would be nice, along with
a middle arm rest. More headroom is
needed. I am only 6 foot tall and my
head practically hits the ceiling. New
gas cap is also needed - the current
one is ridiculous.
