2003 Land Rover Discovery SE 4WD 4dr SUV (4.6L 8cyl 4A)
I shopped several SUVs and was very
surprised at the drive experience on
the Discovery. With the larger 4.6L
engine and the improved suspension and
braking, it performed very well on the
road. This caught me off guard in
that with the height and weight of the
car, I expected it to be a dog. I was
proven wrong. Off road it lives up to
it's reputation. Dealer experience
post-sale has been great!
I love the way you sit upright in a
Disco, both front and back seats.
Leather is great quality. Very
convenient cup holders (very
important). A button changes the
transmission to optimize for
acceleration. That's nice too.
Should have a graphical nav system
option. It would be helpful to have
the 1-touch suspension lift/drop as
the Range Rover does. It's a very
tall car and with ski/bike rack on
roof, it's just about 1.5 inches too
tall for many garages (including my
