2001 Land Rover Discovery Series II SE 4WD 4dr SUV (4.0L 8cyl 4A)
This is my 2nd discovery. My first was an engineering nightmare. My wife insisted after owning our 1995 for 6 years, we purchase a new Discovery because "I know they're much better now". Our 2001 was even worse. at 64,000 miles we replaced the drive shaft, $1,200. body parts falling off, $300. Head gaskets replaced, 1,400. Power window stuck down, $200. It's about worthless to trade in so I'm stuck with it.
Make the doors open wide enough to get in. Make the car reliable.
