i own a 2002 Kia Sportage 5 spd manual trans. bought in May 2012 with 92,000 miles on it. Said to have 2 previous owners and it was in damn good shape. I bought it at a dealer that is Buy-here Pay-Here, since im young and dont want a 500 hundred dollars a month car note, that would be financed for 7 years, the insurance alone would have buckled my spending ... Hello timmboj. Kia Financial Services' March buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36-month lease of a 2012 Sportage SX AWD with 12,000 miles per year are .00166 and 46%. I don't believe that Kia is currently offering 24-month leases of this vehicle. Car_man Host Prices Paid: Buying & Leasing Experiences Forum

Hey car man looking for lease rates and money factor on a 2012 Kia Sportage EX FWD at 12000 miles. Does the added options or equipment make a difference on these rates? We were at a dealership tonight and felt we were being led in the wrong direction. Another question. A dealership lists a 2012 Sportage for sale on Autotrader.com and lists it at a sale price of 19889. (EX FWD ... Read More

Who told you the build quality of the KIA Sportage is inferior to the Toyota? It's every bit as good. I have owned four Toyotas. I now have a Sportage SX AWD. It's an outstanding vehicle. Go check out the 2011/2012 KIA Sportage board. Everyone that owns the SX AWD loves it. If you live in the West or South good luck in finding an SX AWD because there arn't any, ... Read More

This is way late but maybe it will help someone else. The first thing I would do is look up your trade in value at Kelley Blue Book for your car. This is what a dealer should give you for your car. Let's say the KBB trade in value is $12k in very good condition. Ford offers you $14k and the KIA dealer offers $11k. The Ford dealer is giving you ... Read More
Hi, I am looking for the January lease money factor and residual for a 36 month lease (12K a year). Thanks!
Hi Carman, I need leasing information on a 2012 Kia Sportage SX. My target price is 29500. I will pay tax and tags up front. There is a 500.00 rebate. I want a 36 month 12,000 mile lease. Could you quote me a payment for the lease? Thanks so much.
Bought a Kia EX in South Florida. All the dealers here charge a dealer fee (read extra dealer profit) which they list on the sales contract as a fee. Here is the deal I worked out: MSRP: $24,700 ($23,240 invoice per Edmunds without advertising fee) Paid: $23,200 + $700 deal fee = $23,900

Update: Bought the Kia Sportage EX loaded w/leather & NAV, and I'm very happy with the deal, and the vehicle! Fairly certain I made the best deal possible, all things considered: 1. The Rogue has been involved in several accidents and near-misses, most of which my insurance co. believes I was not at fault. Realistically, however...well, ima blame the Rogue's %$@ rear pillar, but it could also be any number of ... Read More
Why are you dumping such a nice Rogue with such low mileage in the first place? I'll agree the Kia, and the Hyundai sister ute, are really nice rides but why get rid of the Rogue? Only reason I ask is that I sat in a few Rogues the other day and they seemed to be a nice truck, and one with such low mileage and leather should be a sweet ... Read More
Haven't taken delivery, given them my trade, or given them any money. They had to do a vehicle trade with another Kia dealer so it took a couple of days to get here. Also, I had to work. We agreed to complete the deal tomorrow. I did sign a Motor Vehicle Retail Installment Sales Contract; received a copy of it in the mail today. Don't want to leave them high and ... Read More
I had a deal working on a fairly well loaded 2012 Ford Edge SEL FWD leather, which, after all numbers were crunched, was going to be $512/month for 60 months. This included 2k in rebates. The vehicle seemed too big to me, the gas mileage wasn't the greatest, so I checked on a 2012 Kia Sportage EX FWD, loaded, with leather, NAV, sunroofs, 18", backup camera, etc.. After the numbers were ... Read More
Hey Car_man, Can you please tell me what the October lease rates are for a 2011 and 2012 Kia Sportage SX (both 12/k and 15/k per yr mileage) Thanks!
I have a honda CRV. I too am looking for an awd vehicle. I don't HAVE to have a wagon/cuv. I am considering the legacy sedan or the impreza 2012. It got a good write up. FYI my sister has a KIA....the minivan. It was not very old but something happend to it and it would have been soooooo expensive to fix, they just junked it. I would not trust KIA. ... Read More
I agree with most of what you say. Seems pretty dumb to discontinue the only remaining affordable AWD wagon. I personally have an '02 OB, but was considering getting a Legacy wagon as a replacement. Well, you know the rest of that story. I don't care for the new OB (Mom has a 2011), but want a CVT vs. a 4-spd AT. No CVT in the Forester leaves it off my ... Read More
I currently own a vehicle which CarMax has offered $28000 to purchase it from me. I am planning on purchasing a Kia Sport and took the vehicle for a trade-in appraisal, which turned out to be $27,300. In Ohio, if you trade a car, then the value of the trade is deducted from the amount to which sales tax is applied. In this case, by trading, I would escape around $1850. ... Read More
Greetings herko2225. Kia Motors Finance's August buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2011 Sportage SX AWD with 15,000 miles per year are .00042 and 48%, respectively. The residual value for a lease with only 12,000 miles per year would be 1% higher. I haven't seen the numbers for the 2012 Sportage yet. I'll have to see if I can find them out ... Read More
The Kia salesman said the 2012 Sportage models have better resale than most cars, but could not give the specific numbers. Do you have the money factors and residuals for the 2011 & 2012 and SX models with 12k & 15k in SoCal?
As an FYI I was able to secure a new Mineral Silver 2011 Kia Sportage SX Turbo at about 12% below the MSRP... With the 2012 version starting to appear it looks like a good time to pick up one of the remaining 2011... even if there are few if any rebates. My walk out price was abt $2,000 less then the MSRP and that included the states 6% tax.
I am somewhat atypical in that I plan to purchase the new vehicle with no financing. My question is what discount to msrp should I expect (in the Columbus, Oh area) on a 2011 v. a 2012 Kia Sportage. Right now, I am considering an EX with Premium Package since I require the following features: heated seats, backup warning, telescoping wheel. I do not require either AWD or Navigation, since I ... I don't know what to believe anymore... Please tell me that Autoweek got the dates wrong for the Optima. If you read the article, it says that the Optima is out "next year", and then the Hybrid out "1st quarter of 2011". Aren't they really the same timeframe? This is contrary to what Kia has "officially" put on their website. Also the Sportage 2.0T date could be wrong as well...this article ... Read More
