Kia has recently started notifying owners of certain 2006 & 2007 Sportages about a recall for this same reason. ACMs are usually found under the driver seat or the passenger seat (on the floor). They can be really hard to get at for removal. Sometimes carpet has to be cut, and awkward bolts need to be removed. Hi- I bought a 2006 Sportage EX fully loaded and love it. I'm getting ready to take my first trip tomorrow. I will tell you that I drive 37 mi a day round trip to work and I work 6 days a week, and I only fill up one time per week. I'm looking forward to finding out how much my highway trip will cost me.
