I've had my new 2005 KIA Sportage less than one week and I am very impressed with the roomy and very comfortable interior. Standard safety features and the 10 year/100,000 mile warranty were major factors in my decision to purchase this SUV. Standard features included traction and stability control as well as side curtain airbags for driver and passenger. The rear seats recline and fold down easily. The overall quality of this vehicle is very good.
The exterior is very sporty and sharp. The sound quality of the radio/CD changer is very good. This SUV handles well and has a smooth ride. The sunroof slides through the roof top rather than sliding up and out. There is very little, if any, wind noise inside the cabin. The passenger seat folds down.
The engine could shift a bit smoother going up hills. I could use more room in the back when going on a trip. However the rear seats fold down easily if I need extra room for "stuff."
