1996 kia sportage, 4 wheel drive doesnt work, i can hear the transfer case going in but it doesnt get to the front wheels, any help

I have 2001 Kia Sportage 4x4 automatic.........I had the same problem for months I thought and afraid some will brake on the transfer case or transmission!! But I found the problem: I feel bad you took the hubs out ; to buy Manual ones they are not very Chip If you still have the parts I would put them back on . My fuel tank is leaking on my 2000 Kia Sportage. I printed out the Service Campaign 1996-2002 Sportage Fuel Tank Inspection .PDF and took it to both my local dealers. Niether dealer wanted to touch the tank or honor the NHTSA inspection. I read on the 'Vehicles Affected' column that it's 1996-2002 MY Sportage Models. Are those special models? I have a 2001 Kia Sportage 4x4 automatic and I had a issue where at low speeds or braking the car would lurch or feel like I went over a bump. It ended up being the front hubs. It would lock the hub then un-lock and cause the issue even though the car was not in 4 wheel drive. I took the spring and slider gear out of both hubs and ... Read More

I have been having the same problem with my 99 sportage running really rough and the engine light has been on for a year.I had it coded (after I was told to put in a mass airflow sensor which did help a little until I was told to undo the battery for 5 min.after which it was the same again)and two problems came up one of which was a misfire on ... My kia started idling roughly the other day & the check engine light came on so I went & had it coded at the local parts store. It came back as a misfire in cylinder 3. the guy assured me that it was probably a simple fix either a fouled spark plug or in need on new plug wires.
