2005 Kia Spectra 5 Peeling Paint

I have a 2005 Spectra 5. It's in immaculate condition, except for some small circles of fading paint on the upper rear spoiler (near the antenna). My point is that the number of next-gen Spectras sold since 2004.5 is closer to 130-170k. And as regarding the number of posts in *this* forum, I'm also including the numerous other KIA-centric forums I follow. I still contend that the number of paint issues I've seen online are low. I was so disappointed with the paint job on my 2005 Spectra5. Before I got home from the showrrom, I had 3 chips and never even heard anything hit the car. It just got worse as time went on. a few months ago, i bought a 2005 spectra w/16k mi...it looked perfect. while i havent had any major problems, ive had some small annoying things that i feel a newish car shouldnt have (ive always had impeccable japanese cars with perfect fit & finish). for example, ive had the screws/bolts for driver's seat tightened (annoying squeaking noise), the passenger's ... I wish I could offer a suggestion, but if you have read all of the other posts you will see that Kia is completely ignoring this problem. My 2005 Kia Spectra5 has had the same problems and they blamed it on everything but the paint. Im just about to buy a 2005 Spectra EX, 16k miles, and the front tires (stock manufacturer) are completely worn down, while the rear (Goodyear) is new. Dealer says stock tires are junk...they're throwing in 2 free tires. Just get yourself a reputable brand of tires (Walmart sells Goodyears now for $75 for this size wheel). Read More...

I Purchased a RED Kia Spectra 05 in August 2005, and I myself noticed right away, I had some spots on the hood of my car and I told the Kia dealer and they told me they were just smudges...LOL...and when the guy washed my car, he said they went away.
