What's New for 2012 Fresh from last year's redesign, the Kia Sorento gains a few more upgrades for 2012. Topping the list is a new, optional four-cylinder engine with direct fuel injection for more power and better fuel economy. Also new are a ventilated driver seat, stain-resistant seat fabric and Kia's "Uvo" voice-activated control interface.

What's New for 2013 Standard equipment is enhanced for the 2013 Kia Sorento. The EX trim now gets standard leather upholstery, while the Uvo voice-activated electronics interface is available on the base LX trim. Later in the year, the LX can also be had with additional equipment like a power driver seat and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.

What's New for 2014 For 2014, the Kia Sorento receives a slight styling update, an upgraded cabin and a new, more powerful V6 engine. Last year's base four-cylinder engine has been dropped, leaving the previously midrange 2.4-liter four-cylinder as the Sorento's entry-level engine. Ride quality and steering feel have also been improved, as has Kia's Uvo voice activation system. Finally, a new range-topping SX-L trim level debuts.
