  Hey bent4, I did have the same problem once with my kia sorento 2010. When I put my foot on the breaks, started the car, shifted the gear to drive, it went forward straight away with my foot still on the break. I was lucky nobody's in front of the car.   just got back from a 4000 mile trip with my 2011 v6 ex. at 70 to 75 got 27 to 28. at 80 to 85 got 24 to 25. very happy with that for a vehicle with plenty of power to drive the faster roads.

  my 2011 sorento was made the first week the plant was open. built 10/29/2009. bought 3/8/2010. two plus years and 28k miles it has been perfect. ex v6. highway about 27mpg and averages about 23mpg for our normal driving. in real life v6 gets pretty close to the mileage of the 4cyl and alot more power. bigger engines works easier.

On the day of the hearing, a KIA representative accompanied myself for a test ride and the transmission was still jerking and slipping. That carried significant weight with the Judge.   Has any else had issues when fueling this vehicle? After a few dollars are pumped the gas sprays back out and gets you covered in gas.   I am familiar with this. This could be as easy as a short in the connection to the cruise control, whereas the cable could have come loose in the engine. I have seen this happen a lot of times with different vehicles especially after work is done. The KIA dealership/service is responsible for this under warranty, regardless of where the problem is.

Invoice was 32,149. Got a competitors rebate of $1500, another rebate for $1000, 4200.for a trade in, and 1000 for not using Kia financing. With all taxes and fees, I paid $24,596

  I had same problems. If you have time, you have right to file a complaint with Federal Govt at www.safecar.gov and then go to "Vehicle Owners" and then "file a complaint" to initiate a recall.
