  I have a 2007 Sorento. After 5,000 miles I had the same issue. Even after multiple complaints to the dealer and Kia Corp they would not cover the rotors, which warp after 4,000+ miles. Had them replaced three times in two years. Finally went with non-Kia brand rotors and they have been fine for over a 2 years now.

  I did not go back to the dealer, however I think I solved the rotor problem. I bought slotted rotors NOT made by Kia (they do not heat up like the stock parts) and had them installed. So far so good. If the dealer ever tells you the rotors need replacement, DO NOT let them use Kia parts.   I heard from a dealer that the 07' Sorentos were already "in port" and waiting for distribution. The dealer didn't know what the date was for launch, or at least didn't say. I too was considering the 4K rebate when I talked to a dealer; but as you stated, I'm waiting on the 07's. Afterall, the rebate will only get better not worse.

The current $4K rebate is real attractive but the new engine sounds more attractive with the better fuel economy and increased towing capacity. I have a 06' Sedona and love it.   Probably different camera angles. It's the same size but the '07 receives a new 3.5L V6 engine, new front grill & bumper design, new headlights and new interior.

  I agree. I think Kia will use the 3.8L 263 hp V6 from Azera on the next Sorento. I doubt they will use it on 2007 model with facelift, probably saves for the totally redesigned 2008 model.   That 3.3L engine I am assuming that it is not for the U.S. only for Europe. That facelift picture I showed is Europe's version of the Sorento. I am thinking USA's version of the facelift Sorento will have a 3.5L and Optional 3.8L or maybe a standard 3.8L like the Azera.   Hope to confirm what engine that the 2007 Kia Sorento will use. Rumors indicate that a 3.8L V6 (263hp) from Hyundai Azera will be used. But several recent articles showed a 3.3L V6 with 235hp. Are they going to safe the 3.8L V6 on 2008 Sorento, a totally redesigned model?

  I saw the spy photo on the same website a month ago. It was just a front end shot. Still no picture about the tailgate design now. The previous article (same site) mentioned a possible 3.8L V6 engine from 2006 Hyundai Azera, not 3.3L. They also claimed a whole new interior design for 2007 Sorento.   http://thehollywoodextra.blogspot.com/2006/02/2007-kia-sorento.html#comments Kia sorento had a re-fresh for 2007, it will get the new 3.3 litre lambda engine and a bit more refinement. In my opinion it looks almost the same, except a bit cleaner. Overall, I think it looks great!!

  I guess we won't see a totally redesigned Sorento until 2008 model year. I just saw a picture of a 2007 Sorento with minor change with the headlights, bumper and grill. They mentioned the interior is all new with a rumor of a 3.8L V6 from Hyundai Azera.

  No change for 2006 model in U.S. I looked at the brochure for 2006 Sorento and one in the dealer's parking lot a month ago. I can only tell the only different is the front and rear Kia emblems. It is not the raised KIA word anymore. I am hoping a redesign Sorento will be out for 2007 model year next year.
