    I have a very simular problem and still within the warranty (96k). I plan to take it to dealer soon to see what is up. The transmission never did feel right inspote of the dealer claiming it was fine.

    I have same problem with my KIA Sorrento, the headlamps has been changed couple of times. I have given up changing and running with fog lamps. I know its crazy. I will make formal complaint to NHTSA. If anyone have any feedback please let me know.

    you need to file a complaint with the NHTSA this is how recalls occur I just filed a complaint for a sheered bolt I think they can offer recalls up to 10 years unless owners start stepping forward and directing their complaints to the correct people kia will keep getting away with this.

    systematic in that it appears to be in the early MY sories....03-04s...dont know that there is a fix, mine has long been out of warranty...140k on it now....I havent had much of a problem since replacing the battery and tightening all the grounds down at the battery and fuze box....I havent honestly followed up with a dealer in over two years......

    this is a systematic problem with the sorento....check to insure your battery ground into the body is good...all fuses are tight....and when you replace the battery...get one with the max amps possible....above and beyond OEM status... as far as the headlamps being faded, depends on where you are...and if the vehicle is parked outside all the time....the lamps can be buffed out...with products at most auto parts stores

My dealer actually admitted to me they didn't know this.     me dealership doesnt enforce the severe maintenance schedule in the owners manual...they have their own recommended one..which follows the normal maintenance.....with a few more add ons....very reasonable...so not all dealerships...are stealerships.... very happy with they way they have handled service on my sorie...reasonable price....and always a one day turn around.....in for the recall now....94K on my 03 EX....

    as you and many other kia owners are finding out the kia warrenty and service are very poor and the dealers are not tell the purchaser before or after purchasing as to "servere service" that applies to all in the USA or else customers would walk out and purchase a real vehicle from a more honest company

    What do you think now? With cash back of $4,500.00 until May 31,06 on all 2005's could you get the EX 4X4 with ABS etc. for under $19,000 not including trade. With gas milage not great, one guy said they were selling at auction for $17,000 on a good day.

    I just paid $21,386 for a 05 green and beige Sorento EX 4x4 auto, with ABS, sunroof, cd and cassette, and cruise control. There are a number of these at Kia Dealers in New York. I traded in an 02 Sportage. I have to say the ride is so much smoother than I expected. Acceleration is great as are the brakes.

    Hey i can help with this one, it is in the lines heading into the air conditioning compressor. took mine in for the 1st 3 month check up complainging about it and there is 2 lines that "overlap" to couple/join.
