The fuel pump (in tank) has a filter screen on the intake to keep the pump from getting damaged. It can clog and cause the symptoms that you describe. Also, the pump can start - run - and then fail in a repeated fashion. The most likely cure is to have the fuel pump replaced. Update...My 05 Kia Sedona Van has been fixed. The Kia repair shop returned the car to us to drive further before they replaced the costly ECM as the only codes it it had registered were P0154 and P0134 (these were in the memory and were only symptoms of the cause of the problem). A AAA mechanic thought it might be the crank sensor, and we asked kia to put it in, they did not really want to but did. I had a full service done at the time of finally getting it fixed. However, it seems likely that it was the TPS (Throttle Body Position Sensor). That was changed (along with new plugs, a new timing belt. Hope this helps. I have a 2004 Kia Sedona. It is very random, but at times my brake pedal gets hard and when braking, the rotors feel like they are warped. if the discs are warped, it would happen all of the time. the front end only behaves this way when the brake pedal gets hard. Any suggestions would be helpful.

It sounds like leaking freon. If your car had been worked on some one might have undone the lines and didn't reinstall it properly. For example, to replace the alternator if not raising the engine, you would have to disconnect the ac lines to get to it. I have a 2004 Kia Sedona and when I have brakes problems I take mine to American Brake. I think they are suppose to be nationwide. They really do a thorough job and charge alot less an hour than Kia. My rotors were frozen and they used a heat gun and separated them and if I had taken to Kia they would have put on new rotors.

I agree that loaner car policies are a dealer-by dealer decision. That said, it seems he has plenty of reasons to hate Kia. He had a terrible experience with a 2004, was forced to purchase a 2006 at MSRP, after Kia loses the lemon-law. Now he has problems with the 2006! Deja vu all over again.
