2009 Kia Rio 4dr Sedan (1.6L 4cyl 5M)
The Rio is an excellent commuter car. However, paying 17200 for this car new with the warranty was a mistake. Purchased w/out A/C, power steering, or power options. Dealership said A/C absolutely could not be installed. The car accelerates fine as long as you are willing to rev the engine all the way up to 4000 rpms. Handles well even w/out powersteering.
Fuel Economy is excellent. I can drive to work in an hour of traffic everyday on a half of tank of gas and still do my traveling for the weekend. I usually average about 45 mpg.
An A/C kit for those who wish to purchase and install this option aftermarket needs to be available. Aftermarket power options (Powersteering, Windows and Locks) would be nice. A sixth gear for manual transmissions would be a great improvement for Highway travel. Make performance options available.
dude you got ripped off...
i just bought a used 2009 rio 6,000 miles - everything manual for 7k.
the girl still had the sticker for it and it was like 10,500.
maybe shop around a little on your next buy!
you spent 10k more than i did, and my car only had 6,000 miles. ouch.
great little car in manual transmission.
little go cart.
like more than my last civic.
