I have a 2009 Kia Rio5 SX automatic and do a 320 mile trip every other weekend. Gas mileage is 26 to 39 mpg. I top it up the same, but you should realize that there are various gas pump fuel nozzles out there that fit (into the filler neck) differently and shutoff at different levels. Don't expect great mileage for short trips, warm up time and stop and go driving ... Read More

Wow, now I know mine is messed up. I've got a 2009 Rio 5 SX automatic, same as pf-flyer's only a hatchback. 8000 miles now and generally 22 to 24 mpg driving 9 miles each way to work with a couple miles of freeway. I've been telling the dealer from the get go that something is wrong but they only believe the computer. It's not the way I drive. My last ... Read More

I just got a new 2009, even though its June of 2010. The window had a decent rebate to 13400....automatic, ABS and spolier...SX When I went to get the 0% loan for 60months, they swapped and said I didn't qualify. So they offered me 1.9%. Then when I asked why the price went up, they said it was "either" the interest or the rebate. Then I had to discuss the rebate ... Read More

Nissan Versa vs Kia Rio vs Toyota Corolla

For that amount of $14k you should be able to get a 2007-2008 Corolla and if certified a good warranty. Consumer reports gives in a very high rating but to over all compare these two cars is not fair. Kia has came along way in the past few years but if you are ask me take the Corolla and the track record. Take a look on the road when you are ... Read More

  • Sunroof option? Improvements for '09?

Written by: aladdinsane on May 2, 2008 6:10:06 AM

When will KIA wake up to the fact that perhaps some of us would like a power sunroof as an option, at least with the SX5? If Hyundai can offer a sunroof with its Accent SE, then why not KIA with the RIO? Maybe for 2009? Hmmmmm. How about making Electronic Stability Control an option also in '09 instead of waiting till the last minute when it will be mandatory on ... Read More

  • I Have Both A Versa and A Fit, and If I Could Only Have One...

Written by: micweb on Apr 29, 2008 3:11:31 PM

it would be the Versa or a 2009 Fit. The current 2008 Fit isn't in that list because the current model, which was introduced in Asia around 2000 if I recollect correctly, suffers from being a little too small and twitchy on the highway. It's a true "B" car (size category = mini, not compact) and suffers from some of the B car shortcomings, like not dealing with the freeway well. ... Read More

This is supposed to come out in 2008 or 2009 maybe? They're going through major road testing right now, I guess to get everything right. I think it showed at the Geneva Auto Show, but I haven't seen too much about it. It will be cheaper than Honda or Toyota, so that's a good thing, I guess. I don't know much about Kia, but I feel like their cars have improved ... Read More
