I have a 2005 Kia Rio. at exactly a little over 60,000 miles the engine just stopped. I had it towed to Kia where I bought it. And of course the 10 yr or 100,000 miles warranty does not cover the timing belt. I have since found out that you better change the belt at 60,000 or youre up the creek. I will never, never buy a Kia.

I'm thinking you could buy seats from a 2004 or 2005 Rio Cinco and they would fit your 2003 Kia Rio Cinco. You could call a Kia dealer to ask them that specific question and then see about ordering the seats if they do. Shouldn't be that large of a project, but it sounds like it's worth doing for your driving comfort. It also sounds like one I'd attempt to do ... Read More

thanks for that instant response! That was fast. Interesting, no standard ABS or ESC on the '06 Rio but the new Accent will have standard ABS. It show that these two car makers are definitely working and operating independently. That is something that doesn't surprise me, though the operating relationship does help Kia. Yes but you are comparing a 2006 LX to a base 2005. The 2006 LX with Auto (nearly 14k) includes A/C, CD, tilt wheel, tachometer, and power steering. To get those in 2005 you add Auto, A/C, CD player, and upgrade package. The total is $13385. The actual 2006 price is 13835 with the LX and auto so the difference is only $450. I would certainly agree with you that back seat room in the Sentra clearly reveals its late 90s design (introduced in Spring 2000 as a 2000). Also, the Sentra has quite possibly the most absurd excuse for a cupholder that Ive ever seen. I drove the Aerio upon its introduction, when it ... Read More
