2012 Kia Forte SX 4dr Hatchback (2.4L 4cyl 6A)

Review

I have the hatch with the 2.4 liter. this is a seriously fast car (for its class/price) with 0-60 in about 7 seconds (A/T). i've owned mine since february 2011, and have about 11,000 miles on it. no service issues so far.

Best Features

heated leather seats. strong/torque-y engine. fuel economy (24 on a mostly suburban commute). quiet. good handling.

Worst Features

heated outside mirrors should be paired with the heated leather seats. What would this cost - $50 at most? the 17 inch wheels and low profile tires are harsh. This is a vehicle that does not forgive speed bumps and potholes. on smooth roads its a lot of fun though.

The Forte SX hatchback is indeed a fabulous car. The combination of a powerful 2.4 liter engine with a silky smooth 6 speed automatic transmission is well done. Of course the SX has a sports suspension which improves handing but the laws of physics apply. If you want better handling, you also have to live with a slightly stiffer ride over rough roads. You can't have it both ways. Although we have a Forte SX and love almost everything about it, including the nifty storage tray under the rear compartment, one thing is missing, an inside the cabin hatchback release button.
