2014 Kia Cadenza Premium 4dr Sedan (3.3L 6cyl 6A)
Review
I'm leasing a fully loaded Smokey Blue Cadenza with the Premium, Technology and the white Napa leather packages. I have gotten lots of compliments. The car is very good looking. I've had the car for 2 months, 2,300 miles now and am quite impressed with it. The fit and finish, the quiet and smoothness of the engine and the ride is comparable to the luxury nameplates that cost several thousand dollars more. The technology features are great and for $42K sticker it has every bell and whistle you can think of. If you are tired of paying big bucks for a prestigious hood ornament and want understated elegance and value, do yourself a favor and give this car a look!!
Favorite Features
I love the panoramic sunroof, the heated steering wheel, the blind spot monitoring system, the Navigation system with the UVO technology. The ventilated seat (for the driver only) is nice as is the power rear sunshade and the backup camera. This car is very spacious and despite it's mid to large size, the fuel economy is pretty good, and it does not require premium fuel like most of the high end luxury cars do these days. Saving at the pump is a bonus. Kia also offers free scheduled maintenance on this model for the first 3 years of ownership!
Suggested Improvements
The electric power steering is very smooth and easy to use around town at low speeds and when parking. On the highway it seems a bit vague and lacks the solid feedback you get from a hydraulic system. That is my number one gripe. I wish my passenger could have a ventilated seat. This is the sister to the Azera and it has that feature as well as rear side window shades which the Cadenza also lacks. An AWD option would have been nice and should be considered to be competitive in the snowy regions.
