i know you posted this back in 2008. you said there was a programming fix for Kia throttle position sensor.
I saw a post from 2008 describing my issue to a T. While driving at around 50 to 60 miles per hour, you slow down to around 40, you press the accelerator and at 40 to 43 miles per hour you get a shuttering or a vibration for 2 or so seconds until you are going faster than 43 then it goes away and all is normal. Another description is it ... Read More
I and all our family were most impressed with this vehicle which we rented in Phoenix, Az. I would guess that it was the luxury version with its leather seats and power sliding roof. It was by far the most comfortable and spacious vehicle I have ever driven. It had a great ride, was very quiet and considering the soft ride, I thought it handled well. We drove nearly 500 miles ... Just thinking today about how much I appreciate my 2007 Amanti. It really is the best car I have ever owned, and I am enjoying driving it. I feel badly that I see so few Amanti's on the streets where I live. I have seen a few 1st Generation Amanti's, but I have yet to see another 2007 model on the road. It does seem that Kia is strangely reticent about ... Read More
Anyone come up with ideas to improve the air intake on a 2007 Amanti? Seems like these engines starve for air. Always looking for ideas. My local kia dealer has 3 2008 Amanti`s all about the same price as a 2007.
Bill: I checked on Kia's website and the only change for 2008 that I can see is that the Cobalt Blue color was dropped and Dark Red Wine was offered in its place. I was hoping that they would correct the one issue I have with the car, and that is the lack of any kind of aux audio input, or the ability to play MP3 CD's. I'm surprised that you ... Read More
It's been a while since I've posted -- family crisis -- but I wanted to share that the 2008 Amanti is due to arrive at my dealer's later this week. I understand that the only difference from the 07 model that I have is the return of standard rear seat heaters. Mind you, this is for the Canadian market. Apparently we still won't see the power operated pedals, rain sensing wipers, ... Read More
I just joined this blog site today. My family test drove a Amanti last week and we loved it. But I was disappointed that there was no navigation or dvd system available. Since we won't be in the car market for another 1 to 2 years I'm hoping that we'd be able to get the 2007 Amanti with a few miles on it for a great price - similar to the ... Read More
I guess beauty is in the eye of the behold. I purchased my Amanti because I thought it was the hottest looking vehicle around. I am crazy about the looks, top to bottom.
Really looks impressive. A good job refining an already attractive design. :) Anyone know if this new Amanti is simply a facelift, or will it be based off the Azera platform? -j
This is nice. The back looks like a cross between the Hyundai XG and some Lincoln and almost like the Chrysler 300. The back is less round at the back and more square. Kia has attacked the Amanti's ugliness big time. The dual exhaust brings more beauty.
That is beautiful. Awesome design. Thanks for sharing. I've been wanting to trade in my '04 for new '07 and have been looking almost daily to see what it looks like.
