After all this time, since April of 2011 after new transmission, the 4th gear continues to pop out while driving and into neutral. Paperwork has been submitted to the Maine Attorney Generals office to exercise the Maine Lemon Law. This Jeep has only 27,000 miles on it. It is a warranty claim. It took them over two months to go this avenue. Unfortunately I had to send a complaint to the BBB and the Attorney General's office. We hope it fixes the problem!

When we fill up our 2008 Jeep Wrangler with gas the pump shuts off and then gas flows out, ALOT, no matter what we do. When we explained this to the dealer they said it was "an operational characteristic of the Jeep". Also of note, this problem just began after about 18 months of owning it. We bought it new. Any one else heard of this?

I have had it in the shop 5 times on this and the dealership finally told me that I would have to find another service center tand that they could no longer help me on it! My 2008 Wrangler dows the same; the problem started around 5K miles, and is getting worse (now nearly 10K miles). Only in first gear, pops out with a loud clunk; dangerous if your pulling into traffic. I read in the latest Australian Buyers Guide in the 4WD & SUV magazine says "Wrangler was rated the worst car overall", in the US magazine customer reports 2008-Owner Survey. So the facts seem to speak for themselves. Anyway, I have worked out Chrysler Jeep's translation of the words Freedom Top, it means "the freedom for water to pour into your vehicle from any angle".

We own a 2008 Wrangler Unlimited Sahara and I absolutly love it. We havn't had any problems yet (knock on wood), except for the amp screwing up, but all it needed was to be reflashed. Rim size is irrelevant, except to the pocketbook. For fitment, you need to consider the overall tire diameter (32, 33", etc) and the wheels backspacing. Backspacing refers to the wheel's offset and how far in or out the wheel sits in relation to the rest of the Jeep. TJ's stock offset is 5.5". IT WORKED - NO MORE LEAK!!!! The dealer had their "leak specialist", who does not work for the dealership, look at it after the new seal was put on.
