2007 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited X 4dr SUV 4WD (3.8L 6cyl 6M)
The on-road drive is Wrangler's best... the off-road driver is even better. I waited 2 weeks before hitting the trails. I out performed a friend in his TJ (no lockers). We did some crawling, some mudding, and a bit of a mix. while in a mud pit, I pulled out a Grand Cherokee. Definitely better than Toyota's FJ Cruiser.
The ESP is very impressive if you don't have lockers. From my videos, I see little tire slip as a result of ESP. Wider stance protects you better from a roll over even at a 40 degrees side ways incline... much better than the previous model (TJ). The 3-piece freedom top is pretty cool.
A diesel would make this Jeep top notch. Paint does not complete cover primer in some areas. Gas tank skid plate needs to be thicker. I am sure I will take out my muffler (unwillingly) pretty soon as it's not very well protected for off roading. Thank goodness for aftermarket!
