The Best Jeep Ever

2003 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4WD 2dr Convertible SUV (4.0L 6cyl 5M)

Review

The best wrangler ever. It is an incredible improvement over my '97 TJ. With the hard top the ride is nearly silent(once you get used to the tire rumble.) The brakes are a massive improvment over the old disc/drum setup, but ABS should be offered, especially with the MT/R's. Their wet road traction is not that great. The 4 wheel drive is incredible. I don't think i could walk that slow. The posi in the rear is great, and the lockers are even better. The new transmission is much better than the old one that was in my '97, but the throw is still quite long. The interior is classic jeep, simple, rugged, and functional.

vehicle is fun to drive good visability because of height solid reliable vehicle(pulled out a few 9 inch tree stumps clearing yard) tires a little noisy when driving without radio on because of soft top top still tight enought after 1 year use to resist wind flap at high speeds

Drivers would be surprised!

2003 Jeep Wrangler X 4WD 2dr Convertible SUV (4.0L 6cyl 5M)

Review

The new 2003 Jeep X is a great value and will surprise many people how smooth and comfortable the ride is. The X has excellent power and smooth shifting from the Automatic transmission. I have taken it across Baja and down the Pacific coast and have encountered more than a few 4- wheel drive opportunities; the X shines in the sand and dirt as well as driving the LA freeways! The interior layout is very functional and, so far, everything is working fine (air, lights, stereo, etc...) Get one!

2003 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4WD 2dr Convertible SUV (4.0L 6cyl 5M)

Review

I went from a Suburban to a Wrangler Rubicon, and I love it. It is much easier to park, and maneuver around town. Granted I don't have near as much hauling room, but that makes me think twice about buying somethings. I have both hard and soft top, which I would highly recomend. I love my JEEP.

It's hard to describe the feeling of owning my Jeep. I have owned my 2003 Inca Gold Wrangler since December and have been very pleased. The road noise, soft top, engine, and interior design are light years ahead of my old 1989 Wrangler. I love the design and color because it stands out and attracts a lot of attention.

The Rubicon is better than I ever expected it would be. A great off-road rig that handles just fine on the highway. If your looking for fun every time you get behind the wheel the rubicon is for you.

The best vehicle ever!

Obviously, you buy a Jeep because there is no alternative. No other SUV can match the fun factor that comes with the Jeep Wrangler. Removing the top, part time 4WD, the cool headlights... Not to mention that it can go anywhere. AND, you get to wave at every other person on earth that knows what you know when you drive by them in their Jeep.

NV1500 Transmission

2003 Jeep Wrangler SE 4WD 2dr Convertible SUV (2.4L 4cyl 5M)

Review

It's a Jeep thing all right. Mostly OK except for rough shifting, grinding and clanking NV1500 transmission. This gearbox is a crude throwback to the 1950s. The dealer says it is functioning normally. Any fun to drive experience is negated by the crappy transmission.
