When I bought it, it had 89,000 miles
on it, and I've put 60,000 miles on
this vehicle since then, and the
reliability is excellent. I've
replaced the carb with an Autolite
carb, and lifted it, but otherwise it's
factory stock. I have no problems with
the supposed problems with SUV
rollover. It corners great.
I've hit three deer with it. One was at
40MPH, and it sustained NO damage other
than a slight wrinkle to two of the
grill upright bars, and a bent fender,
which I straighened out with my hands.
The only improvement I would suggest
for the Jeep Wrangler was done in 1997
when they switched the suspension to
coil springs instead of leaf springs.
