I purchased my used 2008 Jeep Liberty in April. 9 months later...yesterday....opened it and it went off track...the passenger side came back slower than the driver side and so it pulled it out of the track. I took it to a local Jeep dealership to see if they could get it closed because it is raining and will be for the next 3 days. They couldn't get it closed and said ... Read More

Sounds like something is shorted in your wiring harness(es) for the dash or contacts have oxidation on them; try pulling apart some connectors and clean them with switch contact cleaner or something similar. Rainwater has a lot of crap in it and will form a film and short wires in connectors out by bridging the gaps between pins.

In the logic of the vehicle you only get an error code when something unexpected happens once a pre defined condition is reached. In a more practical world I would start looking for ... Read More
