I actually love our jeep liberty diesel, except for one stupid design flaw--the power windows that constantly fail. Chrysler should be ashamed of themselves given that it is clear this problem has been present for years. The problem is they haven't fixed the problem, even with replacement parts--I had all four regulators replaced, and now (after warranty) another has failed.
The diesel we have makes good mileage for a 4x4; don't know why it was discontinued. Good for mixed highway and offroad driving. Good basic 4x4 system that is hard to find in many vehicles these days when people use 4x4 mostly for driving their children to school
For a 4x4 the ground clearance stinks in a couple of spots--takes getting used to on 4x4 trails. And of course, the stupid windows (mentioned above) that constantly fail.
