Re: 2006 Liberty CRD windows [ldillon]
I thought the problem was limited to the 2006 models but guess not. I have a 2004 also and I have begged dealers and customer service to tell me which years are affected by the cheap plastic part but no one will. Jeep could easily put out a notice and warn everyone even if they are not going to issue a recall. The only window I have not replaced is the Drivers and I shutter ... Read More...

Re: Jeep Liberty Power Windows [kiwishae]
Good for you !! Now if they will just fess up, proclaim a recall and send a check to those of us who have had to go it alone I will reconsider the brand again if they still exist. Also, let us know which Vins are affected, I also have a 2004 Liberty that soon will be hauling small children, strapped in of course, but even sitting still it would not be good for that window to ... 2004 Jeep liberty radiator fan problems
Is there some type of fan contol unit or module that controls the electric fan for the radiator and if so where is it located and can i get a new one relatively inexpensively. The service department at Jeep told me it was bad and wanted to charge me 450.00 dollars to fix it. Read More...
Re: Body Control Module vs Low Beam Relay 2005 Jeep Liberty [yojupiter7]
YoJupiter7 - That is exactly the same problems I have, all lights (inside & out) & radio shut off for a second or two and will do it two or three times in a row. I have a 2004 Liberty Scary to say the least. I've been following this issue on Edmunds, for several months. However, I have come to my own conclusion that I do not have this issue, if I DON'T use my highbeams. Since ... Read More...
Jeep Liberty Noises and Sounds
Pulsating grinding/creaking noise
Hi All, Has anyone experienced a pulsating grinding/creaking noise with a 2004 Jeep Liberty? A pulsating grinding/creaking noise is resonating from the rear left hand side of the car. The noise can be heard at lower speeds and whether I am or am not pressing on the break. The grinding sounds is not constant, it is a pulsing sound based on the speed of the car. If traveling ... Any new suggestions LIGHTS BLINK ON AND OFF 2004 Liberty
As mentioned in several earlier emails, I too have had my headlights AND all inside lights go out while driving at night, in my 2004 Jeep Liberty. The first occurrence happened three times in a row within minutes. Although brief but scary, just the same. My mechanic mentioned that another Liberty had this problem and was taken to the dealership. In that case, a ... Read More...
Jeep Liberty Tire Pressure Monitoring System
2004 Jeep Liberty Tire Pressure Missing or Inop?
I have a 2004 Jeep Liberty. About a month ago the tire pressure sensor system started saying "tire pressure sensor missing or inop". The four main tire pressures indicate normal, so I assume the spare tire has a problem. Is going to the dealer for service the only answer? The Discount Tire Store has no clue. Also, the system now gives warnings of "zero" tire pressure ... Read More...
Liberty Oil pressure sending unit?
Oil pressure sending unit?
Our 2004 Jeep Liberty has a problem where (usually when cold) the low oil pressure indicator will illuminate but when you shut off the engine and restart it will shut off. Is this a problem with the sending unit sending an incorrect code? Or maybe the oil pressure could be low? I'm seriously thinking of getting a gauge and testing the pressure. I know low oil pressure ... Read More...

Re: 2004 Jeep Liberty is whining! [cathief]
Assuming your brake pads don't stick, clean your brake piston seals. Some seals have a special shape (several lips in a wave pattern) that forces the pistons to retract from their most outwards position, after the brakes are released. If this doesn't work, look at the master cylinder 'home' position: you could have a bad pedal assembly that doesn't release the ... Read More...
