2003 Jeep Liberty SUV Sport 4WD 4dr SUV (2.4L 4cyl 5M)
Great vehicle that feels very solid
and has good power. The cloth seats
are very comfortable and seem to be
made of material that should wear
well. I am 5'10" and 260lbs and have
ample room inside. Due to great road
height visibility is excellent, and
insurance rates are very good. CR
gave it average reliability (which is
much better than a Ford/Mazda SUV),
and I have gotten several comments on
the great color (Patriot Blue). I had
to go to a couple of dealerships to
get a good deal, but 0% for 60 and 7
year 70000 powertrain are hard to beat.
Interior fit and finish, good power,
good visibility and ample room
inside. Not too big, not too small,
true offroad capability and great
towing numbers for its class.
Every vehicle has a flaw, regardless
of price. On the Jeep it is gas
mileage. Of course I traded from an
Acura RSX, so I am used to great
mileage. More cubby holes for cell
phones, change, etc... would be
2003 Jeep Liberty SUV Limited Rwd 4dr SUV (3.7L 6cyl 4A)
I had a '96 Grand Cherokee Limited.
Ready to buy a new car....I wanted
something a bit smaller but still with
power. I drove the LandRover
Freelander & the Ford Escape and
decided I liked the Jeep Liberty the
best. The ergonomics of the Jeep are
much better than any others of it's
size. The Power it has is great!
It's a road hugger with weight so I
feel very safe (unlike my friends
Xterra which I feel like we are about
to fall over when I ride in it) I
drove the Liberty and loved it. It is
not only hip but zippy and easy to
maneuver around (much more so than my
Grand Cherokee). I think that Jeep
really did a great job with this
Audio Controls on the Stearing Wheel,
Heated Seats, Hatch Open on Remote,
Leather Seats with 6 way adjustable.
A Hatch Opening from the inside.
If not a 4wheel drive, move the gear
shift a little to the left for
ergonomics (which is great otherwise).
Hard Case "STANDARD" for the spare
