2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland 4dr SUV 4WD (3.6L 6cyl 5A)
Purchased a Jeep Overland only to find that the suspension produces a very loud 'bang' noise upon recoil when going over a pothole or bump.
This is on all 4 wheels and Chrysler and the Dealership acknowledge the issue in both 2011 and 2012 models and say it's a 'characterisitic of the vehicle'.
Can you believe that?
This is supposed to be a vehicle that can 'take you anywhere'.
Chrysler acknowledges the problem but won't fix it.
See for yourself...take one for a test drive and go over a speed bump or ride off a curb...it's simply shocking!!!!!
Don't buy one...
New suspension...but they said they won't do it or issue a recall!!!!!!
And they call that customer service!!!!
I've had my 2011 JGC a little over 1 year and have over 40K miles on it.
Live in rural Alabama, extremely rough roads - still not familiar with the lound "bang" noise you mentioned.
The key fob problem - take to dealership & they will warranty replace the keys & upgrade the computer.
Since then, I will occasionally get the key left car beep, but usually my key is in my purse under something when that happens.
