I had a deal with Merrick Dodge of a 2010 x package - I'm glad it fell through - Got a better deal from a better dealership (Westbury). Sorry for your troubles -
Hi, I have a 98 Regular Cherokee and same problem. Unlike other posts, mine DOES NOT leak due to the a/c or defrost. It will leak: 1) When it's parked 2) Front end facing uphill (it won't do it if it's facing downhill) 3) When it Rains. 4) Passenger side only. The amount of water is only limited by what the passenger floor will hold! It started doing it in 2010 ... Read More
I must apologize for being a wise-guy. The 92-2004 models (ZJ and WJ) are equipped with the venerable 4.0 liter inline 6 (I6) engine. The WK (05-2010) and WK2 are both offered with V6 engines. The WK with the 3.7 liter, 215HP V6, and the WK2 with the new 3.6 liter Pentastar engine producing 290HP. The 3.6 is now offered in almost all Chrysler, Doge and Jeep models, either standard or ... Just bought a 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo V6 4x4. I've never owned a Jeep so I would appreciate everyone's help. I've always used Premium gasoline 93-94 grade for all of my vehicles. I hear that Jeep recommends Regular 87 gas for its vehicles. I've been using premium gas since I purchased the vehicle. Please explain if this will damage my JGC, or why I should follow Jeep's recommendations, or if ... Read More
Hello all. 1st off I want to congratulate everybody on their new 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokees. The positive press this Jeep has gotten is incredible. It is sharp and rugged looking and the interior is beautiful. My current daily driver is a 2001 Honda Prelude Type SH that has over 134,000 miles. I'm still in love with how my car drives after almost 9 years (purchased new in April 2002 as ... Read More
Searching for a good Jeep Grand Cherokee (2010) 5.7L Hemi, performance & tuning shop located closest to the New England area (Boston). Any suggestions would be helpful.
I'm considering the purchase of a 2010 Grand Cherokee. I guess I'm in the minority in that I prefer the 2010 model to the 2011 (I won't go into all the reasons why). The current deal I can get on a 4wd Laredo with nothing but red paint is $28,100 after my $4,000 rebate. The 2011's are selling at about MSRP, but I expect them to go down later in year ... Read More
Were you really talking about the 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee in your posting earlier today when you said: "Unfortunately, Chrysler is not currently providing any lease support on the 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee." Or did you mean the 2011 model, which I think the question referred to? I am also considering the 2011 model, but the dealer told me that Chrysler has not released the lease figures yet. Do you have ... Read More
Hi schneller78. Unfortunately, Chrysler is not currently providing any lease support on the 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee. As a result, it's not a very attractive SUV to lease right now. If you're set on leasing, you probably would be better off going with a different truck. If you really want to get a Grand Cherokee, I personally think that you'd be better off financing it using Chrysler's current special rates of ... Read More
Our 2011 Cherokees are going to be on the lot by the end on June. Official launch date is June 20th. Just drove them the other day for training. All I have to say is WOW, the interior is excellent, the ride surpasses the RX350. There will probably be a 6 speed trans released late 2010 or in 2011 due to the rush of trying to get it into showrooms ASAP. ... Read More

I am interesting in 2010 grand cherokee but i am worry about the transmission.. I have 2 persons related to me that have jeep cherokee and in the past both have problem with the transmission. The person in the dealer told me they fixed tha problem. Is that true.
Similar issue to Donna's. And, I've previously posted but now have additional symptoms: The skinny: '04 Jeep JGC Limited SOHC. I replaced the battery in May of 2009. At the time, the terminals were showing evidence of corrosion and I stupidly did not clean the cables. But, I did clean them off in January of 2010. The issue: Car will not start right away. Problem goes away for a couple weeks, ... Read More
Recently purchased a new 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee. After finally getting the vehicle I ran it through a local car wash only to find it leaked water from behind the glove box (front passenger side under dash). There was an indication that the Jeep leaked in a recent rain storm, after the dealer left the new Jeep sitting outside waiting on parts to repair a different issue. Just for testing, I ... Read More
Hi j13ntv. Chrysler is scheduled to introduce new incentives for March some time later on today. If you post a reminder for me in a day or two I will gladly fill you in on what I have been able to find out about its new program. For now I can tell you that Chrysler was not providing any lease support on the 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee in February. That means ... Read More
Hello Car_man, Do you have the residual and money factor for current jeep grand cherokee? I see they are running near 7k in rebates for the northeast in regards to leases. 15k 36 m 2010 Limited hemi 4wd and 2010 Laredo 4wd Thank you
Hi. You shouldn't be paying more than invoice - rebates. Not sure how rebates work if you're abroad. Just a few things to keep in mind: * SUV's aren't selling as well as they used to * It's the second half of the model year * The economy is still not doing so well * The Grand Cherokee is going to be completely redisigned for the 2011 model year I say ... Is the msrp high on the Grand cherokee. Who cares? You're getting over $10k off MSRP. :P That's pretty good. Jeep Wranglers hold their value really well. I'd suggest you sell the Wrangler privately and trade in the Stratus. You said that you were hoping for a little more on trade in, but how realistic is that? Have you priced them on Edmunds/KBB? You should also post on Real World Trade ... Read More

The 2011 JGC will be the only luxury cuv that offers V8 power and RWD. To me, that's significant. I would be willing to bet that the pricing will be about the same as the 2010s, comparably equiped. Even if Chrysler goes belly up, somebody will want Jeep.
There hasn't been a whole lot of buzz, at least here on Edmunds. The little I have read they talk about "luxury". Does that mean higher price? What about room compared to 2010? Any word? Really fuzzy on when they will be available. I have seen that it was delayed until September from July, but one article I ready from the Detroit auto shows said they would be available in the ... The upcoming 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee will receive a substantial makeover which ought to make it a much more desirable SUV. Among other things it will get a new V-6 engine producing 280 HP and 260 lb.-ft. of torque, substantially more than the outgoing engine, and with increased fuel efficiency. The gas tank has been increased to almost 25 gallons which will give the vehicle a cruising range of over 500 ... Read More
INVOICE $41,194 (including destination charge) REBATE $4,000 OUT-OF-POCKET $36,000 + TTL Hi, so assuming that there was no trade-in, you got the car for $36,000 (after rebates). Before rebates, it's $40,000, right? That is $1,194 *below* invoice? wow. OIIIIIIIO <--- Nice!
Maybe in the serial #? They often denote what drivetrain the vehicle has. You may have to go to the dealer to get it translated, unless it's somewhere in the owner's manual? Also, this site focuses on Chrysler products. Maybe they can help. http://www.allpar.com/ Bob

$30,500 for a 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo X V6 with Leather and Navigation Didn't haggle too much so I'm sure I left plenty of money on the table but still just wanted to post the price I got when I turned in my 2007 GC Lease
fords are noted for that same as chevy jeep last a long time have 210000 miles on a 4.7 never had a problem still dose not use oil between changes and use mobil 1 and change at 7500 miles
close-but no cigar..while a timing chail last's maybe double the life of a belt,i spent a winter's weekend replacing the chain -and drive gears(nylon covered aluminum),on a 77 ford f150-351/m/400..-cause that's all i had to get to work..why do things like that wait till crappy weather to go out?? couldn't have been a decent spring day.? ! -so,chains DO go out, just not nearly as often..
Thanks tuggajb. Yes you are right that it has timing chain instead of belt. Unlike the timing belt, the timing chain lasts forever in other words it doesn't need to be replaced at certain mileage. OIIIIIIIO
Ask the dealer
dont think they have timing belt use chain instead
2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.7L HEMI, at how many miles should the timing belt be replaced? The user manual and maintenance guide did not mention replacing timing belt at all. Thanks, OIIIIIIIO
HI there. Reliability has improved quite a bit. The latest generation (WK) came out on 2005. buying a first year models are always a bad idea -- regardless of the car. Not sure how different it will be from ... Read More
