2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland 4dr SUV 4WD (5.7L 8cyl 5A)
This is my 3rd GC. Had a '97 and '04, all leased brand new, and had no problems with any of them. Can't understand why so many people state these SUV's are terrible. This one by far rides and handles the best, although I liked the styling of the '97 the best. Serviced at dealer all the time, no issues. The '07 is the Red Rock Chrystal color, changes in different light, and gets many compliments. Currently has 41,000 miles on it with no issues at all. Could be a keeper, but that will depend on the new GC coming out this spring.
Love the Hemi. Great sound. Yes, it's not great on gas, especially around town, but gets 20 mpg on highway when driven easy. Unbelievable acceleration, puts you back in the seat. Like the auto high beam headlights, quality of paint, tenacity in the snow, and easy to live with dash layout.
Wish mpg was better, but this is a 330 hp V8, so give it a break! Needs more legroom in back, and the outward vision all around is compromised by the high belt line that's becoming so common in today's newer vehicles. I guess designers feel we don't need to see out of the car anymore.
