Hello I purchased a 2007 jeep compass also and after i purchased it low and behold a week later it started making a grinding noise at low speeds in the front end also i noticed that when i would let off the gas it would jerk hard like it was down shifting after about a year and 3 different dealers they finally found out that it was the tranny. being that they had one in stock ... Hi, I bought my 2007 Jeep Compass sport new in 08...Got a great deal on it $15K auto 4x4...huge rebate at the time of purchase. Well as bad as I feel for everyone its good to know that I'm not the only one experiencing this problem with the Compass. I bought my Compass in July of 2007, I had it in the shop for the first time in regards to the leak June of 2008. At least it made it almost a year without starting to do this right? That was the exact mileage that we brought ours in at. Good luck, let me know how it goes. We are still haveing leaks that Jeep can't fix. We just don't drive our brand new, paid in full, 2007 Jeep Compass, when it rains anymore. Read More...

So we went back to good old Tarbox Jeep in North Kingstown RI on Saturday of this past weekend due to LEAKING MAP LIGHTS...AGAIN!! This is the 4th time they have leaked, on top of all the other issues that we have had. I called Chrysler, as they told me to if we had the issue again. We actually had two CDs stuck in the player of our Jeep Compass 2007. We used two butter knives to get it out. We put one under the cd and one on top of the cd and then pulled, it took two of us, but it worked. Just make sure you grab it or it goes right back in. Hope that helps. Everything works great now. We have a 2007 Jeep Compass with a sun roof. We initially had problems with the sunroof seal, but now it's the roof. A few weeks ago we were driving in the rain and water started pouring out of the pilot lights. We called our dealer and brought the car in. They kept it for a few days. If I am any example of how I liked the Compass then take note. We got a 2007 Compass on April 4, 2007. We got rid of it on Aug.31, 2007. We had 10,000 miles on it. Fuel mileage was 20 to 23 once in a while it hit 24, but only rarely. The gutless 2.4 engine was a joke, floo rit from a dead stop and the engine made lots of noise, but was pathetic in power and take off! When driving ... Read More...

I am leasing a 2007 Jeep Compass and am experiencing a "Floating" feeling when driving the car above 40 mph. I have taken it to the dealership and the suspension & tires have been examined and nothing was wrong. I was advised this is a common complaint on the Compass and Patriot vehicles.
