Used TMV from $8,500
I've had the same problem. The technician said that it's a transmission problem. However, the tear down is $1200 and if they don't find anything wrong with it then I'll have to pay the $1200. The extended warranty would not cover it. After going back and forth with the dealership and warranty company. The dealer admitted that their technician can only tear down the transmission part way and they couldn't complete ... Read More

I bought a 2007 Jeep Compass 2.4L CVT AWD Sport on April 7, 2007. I traded the Compass in on a Chrysler Pacifica Touring AWD on Aug. 31, 2007 with about 9,000 miles on it. The MPG was 20 to 24, but generally 21 mpg. The seats were hard abd stiff, the CVT had the engine going up and down constantly. The engine was loud and the car has no coasting, ... Read More
Well I bought our 2007 Jeep Compass April 4, 2007. By August 31, 2007 We had enough of the cheap CVT, mismatched hard plastic, poor fit and finish, gutless 2.4 junky world engine. At 8,400 miles we took a huge loss and bought a Chrysler Pacifica AWD Touring. That was the best choice I have ever made on a vehicle. The Caliber, Compass, and the Partriot are all cheaply made junky ... Read More

2007 Jeep Compass Sport 4dr SUV 4WD (2.4L 4cyl 5M) Raylle Review I thought I was making a decent investment it had 309 mi and was brand new. It's a jeep right? By 20,000 miles I had broken seat moldings on both sides of the vehicle. ... Read More
My husband and I leased a 2007 Jeep Compass in February 2008. Within a month we had to take it in for leaking map lights. We were told that the seals on the sunroof needed fixing. The jeep didn't have any issues all summer. Come November 2008 the map lights were full of water again and leaking. I took it back in and was told that the drains were clogged. The ... Read More
That was the exact mileage that we brought ours in at. Good luck, let me know how it goes. We are still haveing leaks that Jeep can't fix. We just don't drive our brand new, paid in full, 2007 Jeep Compass, when it rains anymore.
So we went back to good old Tarbox Jeep in North Kingstown RI on Saturday of this past weekend due to LEAKING MAP LIGHTS...AGAIN!! This is the 4th time they have leaked, on top of all the other issues that we have had. I called Chrysler, as they told me to if we had the issue again. After speaking with someone in India who wanted to tell me I had free ... Read More
We actually had two CDs stuck in the player of our Jeep Compass 2007. We used two butter knives to get it out. We put one under the cd and one on top of the cd and then pulled, it took two of us, but it worked. Just make sure you grab it or it goes right back in. Hope that helps. Everything works great now.
We have a 2007 Jeep Compass with a sun roof. We initially had problems with the sunroof seal, but now it's the roof. A few weeks ago we were driving in the rain and water started pouring out of the pilot lights. We called our dealer and brought the car in. They kept it for a few days. They initially thought it was the tubing because there is a recall on ... Read More
If I am any example of how I liked the Compass then take note. We got a 2007 Compass on April 4, 2007. We got rid of it on Aug.31, 2007. We had 10,000 miles on it. Fuel mileage was 20 to 23 once in a while it hit 24, but only rarely. The gutless 2.4 engine was a joke, floo rit from a dead stop and the engine made lots ... Read More
I am leasing a 2007 Jeep Compass and am experiencing a "Floating" feeling when driving the car above 40 mph. I am taking it to a different dealership for a second opinion. Is anyone experiencing these same problems? ... Read More

I did tons of research on plenty of AWD SUV's that reported solid miles per gallon. I eventually decided on either the new Hond CRV, or the Jeep Compass. After this rough New Hampshire Winter, I decided to go with the Compass. It has a true 4x4 low option that I could have used this past season. I am really happy with my purchase. The Jeep Compass seems to disapoint all ... Read More
Just purchased my Jeep Compass 3/31/2007. Living in home off a dirt road, where a trip to the grocery store requires mud chains, I have to say that the Jeep Compass is the perfect blend of off road worthiness and gas saving commuter. I'd say the only problem I really have so far, is with the blind spots. Anyone else have an idea what they are selling for now?

How about a link with some gnarly quotes? "First there was the Dodge Caliber — the odd-looking hunchback hatchback with a cheap interior and lackluster performance. "Jeep says that the Patriot is the small crossover for men and the Compass is the one for ... Read More
Jeep did deseign a REAL Jeep with REAL solid axles and REAL off road capability. It's the 2007 4 door Wrangler Unlimited that I am getting as soon as it comes out.
