After shutting the vehicle off and letting it sit for a few minutes, when I try and start it, it cranks over and over without starting. When I turn it off and start again, it works. I only have 11,000 miles on it and it is still under warantee. What the Heck My 2010 Toyota 4runner has ... Read More
Here I am once again and for the last time, it will be the end of making comments in this column. After my previous write up here, (especially due to STARTING PROBLEMS FOR 6 TIMES), unplugging the battery with the newly installed quick release clamps, the Jeep Commander (2008 – Sport 4WD - 6cyl.- 42K miles) started without hesitation at first try, but it took 12 hours before it came back ... I will definitely join a class action and if that isn't coordinated by March 2012 I'm filing papers on my own. Im taking the month of february to put the folder together. My Commander has 64,000miles on it &, to date, I've put more than $5,000 into repairs that should have been under warranty ( as chryslers own technical service bulletins acknowledge these repairs are result of chrysler manufacturer defects. I had the starter replaced back in March 2008.... 2 years later now they are saying the starter is bad again but not under warranty. Anyone seem to have these starter troubles at all? not sure if its worth getting it refurbished instead of paying for a new one now -JeepComm
I know exactly how you feel. I just bought my 2008 six months ago and I am constantly checking the weather out. I had my husband build me a little carport to put the jeep under because I literally get sick to my stomach when the car is out in the rain. The floor is soaked on the driver's side. I could have bought a brand new Jeep Liberty for what ... Read More

We rent Jeep Commanders in our experience this problem has been due to a JB block under the steering column which contains 6 relays. The entire block has to be replaced. For details: http://www.justanswer.com/jeep/2qfq2-jeep-commander-2008-won-t-start-keys-good-b- attery-good.html This has been the problem for us once on a 2007 and now on a 2008 Good luck!
heiressmj or anyone else, I have this same issue where the amplifier seems to have just "died." Is there a replacement amp or do you know what you replaced it with? Thanks!
I just bought a 2008 Commander that just hit 36,000 miles. The front driver's side floor was wet when I got it. Now everytime it rains, the driver's side floor is soaked. I cannot tell where the water is coming in from. I don't think the warranty will cover the repair since I am no on 37,000 miles. The one thing I did notice is that when it is dry out, ... Read More

Hi, mine was an '08 V6 Commander. It had the same problem as yours. It is not the starter, not the battery and not the computer. Hi I just bought a jeep commander 08 silver; your post was very insightful. I was just wondering about the dealership you traded your commander at, was it in the whittier area suburb of los angeles? Cause I don't want to be driving that old Jeep of yours. Thanks.
Hi, was wondering if any of you have had any luck with getting the water leak problem fixed, or contacting an attorney. My sister-in-law and I both have a 2006 Jeep Commander and have been dealing with this problem for quite some time now. Her car completely shut down a couple of days ago with all of the rain we have had.
Hey... I am having a similar problem.. I have a 2008 Jeep Commander.. The water started leaking in the door on the front passenger side... I have tried to get the dealer to fix it.. Just bought a 2008 jeep commander. No problems yet. However, the blue tooth buttons above the radio, for U-Connect, says "U-connect" unavailable when pushed. What do I have to buy/install to activate my hands free device? I have bluetooth for my cell in my other vehicle which is great. This one is for my wife and she really needs blue tooth as much as she talks?

Greetings chiro498. Let's crunch some numbers and see what sort of payment we come up with on this truck. The truck that you are interested in probably has a spread of around $2,700 between its full MSRP and its dealer invoice price. In addition to this, Chrysler is currently providing $3,500 lease cash on this truck. This gives you a total of just over $6,000 to play with during your negotiations. ... Read More
