1990? I didn't say that. The Sales Code ADF "Freedom Appearance Group" was NOT available on ANY 2001 Cherokee!! It was a 4 month only package on the next-to-last year, the 2000 model SE. The top of the line was the Limited, then the Classic, then the Sport, then the SE Freedom and at the bottom, the SE. The SE Freedom came out just after New Year's Day - I think ... Read More

Anyone familiar with this model? Anyone have one? By far, the rarest Jeep option package ever made. By the way, does anyone know how many 2001 Cherokee Sport 2-Doors were made in Solar Yellow? My 1990 Jeep Cherokee Ltd. has the annoying habit of not starting all the time. 99 per cent of the time, it starts, then every once in a while, it doesn't. When the 4.0 litre in-line six doesn't start, it cranks over, but there is no spark By the time I arrange to get it towed to the garage, it starts on its own. I have changed the coil, the ballast ... I have a 1990 Jeep Cherokee 4.0L 4X4 with 201,000miles. I need to change the shocks and would like to put on a shock that is more aggressive that what I have on there now, Monroe light duty truck shock. I know there is an up-country option that uses different shocks and was wondering if anybody has them on there truck and if so do they like them.

I had a 1990 Cherokee and a 1993 Grand Cherokee V8 and had nothing but Trouble with both vehicles. I would never buy another Chysler product again. They make the Best Looking vehicles on the road, but their quality is pretty poor. However, Rotor warpage is a common problem with disc brakes and happens on all vehicles regardless of make. If u have a "Nice, cooperative dealer" u might get him ... Read More

I had the rear wiper go on a 1990 Cherokee Laredo....the whole motor needed replacing to the tune of about $250....that definitely solved the problem.
