2000 Jaguar XK-Series Convertible XK8 2dr Convertible

Review

Always wanted an XK but was afraid of Jaguar quality. The 98 and 99 had pretty good reviews so I took the chance on a low mile 2000. Great vehicle!!! Very few issues and way fun to drive.

Best Features

The design is like no other vehicle - I love it! The handling is smooth, smooth, smooth. Cornering is excellent and acceleration is very good. Stereo and power are also good. The convertible top operates smoothly and quickly.

Worst Features

Remove the useless back seats. Also, would love a 6 speed stick versus the automatic.

Review

I decided to take a chance on a Jaguar and it is by far the best car I have ever owned. Not only is it beautiful to look at, it is responsive and a joy to drive. Select the sport function and this baby is a rocket. As fun to drive as my 911, but in a different way. A real head turner!

Best Features

Interior styling and handling

Worst Features

Rear seats are useless, but who cares.

Review

All you can say is the design is now 8 years old, and it's still one of the best looking cars on the road today. I've only had the car for a year and a half, but have been very pleased with it. The performance, handling, build quality, and reliability are all exceptional. I don't typically keep cars for more than a year, but I'm making an exception with this one. Just can't seem to find another one that I think has better styling.

Best Features

On a scale of 1 to 10, I give it an 11 on the 'fun to drive' scale. The navigation system is great, and the 18" wheels look great when they're chromed. The convertible top doesn't stow away as well as other current luxury convertibles, but I think it gives it a nice retro look.

Worst Features

Resale value on the Jags isn't the best as of late, buying pre-owned is most definitely the way to go.

Review

The appearance still turns heads even though the design has been on the road for seven years. Mechanically no problems . Even my knew Mercedes has given me more problems in 1 year of ownership.

Best Features

Apearance and get 21 mpg + on highway and 17 in local driving. Not bad for a 290 HP car.

Worst Features

The 2 plus 2 is a joke. Can only fit a 2 year old child or 4 small packages in back seats. Don't try to be what it is not.

Review

There is only one Jaguar experience and the XK8 Convertible is it. Inpired by the XKE design, the XK8 Convertible offers quantum improvements in every mechanical and electrical area as well as superb fit and finish. Timeless British Jaguar styling and road feel give this Euorpean touring sports convertible a permanent place in the pantheon of classic automobiles. So far, I have experienced no mechanical problems. I would be remiss if I did not point out that the XK8 Convertible is also a remarkable babe magnet.

Best Features

Superb convertible top. Classic retro Jag styling. Lots of torque. Burled walnut interior. Gossamer smooth transmission. British racing green paint. Sumptous leather interior.

Worst Features

Needs improved cup holder. Offer a stick shift model. Larger instrument cluster around steering wheel. How about a little growl in the exhaust.
