Always wanted an XK but was afraid of Jaguar quality. The 98 and 99 had pretty good reviews so I took the chance on a low mile 2000. Great vehicle!!! Very few issues and way fun to drive.
The design is like no other vehicle - I love it! The handling is smooth, smooth, smooth. Cornering is excellent and acceleration is very good. Stereo and power are also good. The convertible top operates smoothly and quickly.
Remove the useless back seats. Also, would love a 6 speed stick versus the automatic.
I decided to take a chance on a Jaguar and it is by far the best car I have ever owned. Not only is it beautiful to look at, it is responsive and a joy to drive. Select the sport function and this baby is a rocket. As fun to drive as my 911, but in a different way. A real head turner!
All you can say is the design is now 8 years old, and it's still one of the best looking cars on the road today. I've only had the car for a year and a half, but have been very pleased with it. The performance, handling, build quality, and reliability are all exceptional. I don't typically keep cars for more than a year, but I'm making an exception with this one. Just can't seem to find another one that I think has better styling.
On a scale of 1 to 10, I give it an 11 on the 'fun to drive' scale. The navigation system is great, and the 18" wheels look great when they're chromed. The convertible top doesn't stow away as well as other current luxury convertibles, but I think it gives it a nice retro look.
Resale value on the Jags isn't the best as of late, buying pre-owned is most definitely the way to go.

Needs improved cup holder. Offer a
stick shift model. Larger instrument
cluster around steering wheel. How
about a little growl in the exhaust.
