Both are meant to offer buyers better fuel efficiency than the existing V8. The XF also gets another significant new piece of equipment for 2013: optional all-wheel drive. Finally, all 2013 XFs get a new eight-speed automatic transmission, while a standard stop-start function for the V6 and V8 engines also helps save fuel.
