The wheels are the biggest complaint I have with my 2010 XF. When left outside one night they froze and drove like the flintstones car till they heated up. Also 3 bent rims, a tire blow out and second tire bubble courtesy of a pothole and then finally last night a flat to add insult to injury. I don''t think this car is designed to be ridden on normal streets only ... Read More

Good morning. New to the board, from Orange County California. My wife really has her heart set on the 2010 or 2011 XF.While I've heard that there were some decent leasing programs out there, went to the local Jag dealer who told me the minimum down payment for their lease program is $7K down. Why in god's name would I put $7K down on a car and never see that again?? ... Read More

Hey mineshg. I don't believe that you ever mentioned what trim level XF you're interested in, so for now I'll assume that it's a base model. Let me know if you want something different. According to my calculations, if you were to lease a base 2010 Jaguar XF that has an MSRP of $53,000 and a selling price of $49,500 ($1,000 over invoice...this will vary depending upon what you are able ... I'd be happy to take a look at this deal, rjh6. The car that you described probably has a spread of just under $5,000 between its full MSRP and its dealer invoice price. Add to that the $2,000 dealer cash that is currently available on the base 2010 XF and you have a total of around $7,000 to play with during your negotiations. You were quoted a discount of $5,500. Dealer was willing to discount the selling price by about $2000 only since it's a 2010, but the lease rate came back at $1249 / month for 36 months. He acknowledged that's ridiculous, but Jaguar doesn't have the same type of lease incentives as Mercedes and BMW. Jag can't compete on lease rates unfortunately. However, for Jaguar [ like most manufacturers ] a first year of production for an essentially all–new model, like the XF is a real risk. My ** GUESS ** is that a 2010 model year XF is likely to be improved substantially over the 2009. I could be wrong . . . - Ray Liking ... Read More

Building an ideal executive-style luxury sedan is not an easy task for a carmaker. If the car turns out too soft and isolated, you lose enthusiasts who aren't quite ready to retire in a Lexus. Too complex or high-strung and you risk alienating your technology-challenged, soft-in-the-middle buyers who expect a measure of mindless comfort. Get the balance just right, and your five-passenger $60,000 midsize sedan will both impress with remarkable dynamics ... Read More

One salesman with 20 years of jag experience said Jaguar tends to stay true to the model year (not releasing the next model in May like some manufacturers) and the 2010 will be available around November 2009.
