    Check your fuel pressure regulator, located on the back of the engine, drivers side. See if it has fuel coming out of the vacuum line when starting the engine and the engine is cold.

    I am assuming (LOL) you have the DOHC 3.2 similar to my 2000 Rodeo. Have you swapped the coils and plugs from Bank 1 to Bank 2? The O2 could be showing bad from bad combustion in Bank 1.     I have a 99 Rodeo that had a shift problem between lower gears and noticed every once in awhile it would happen at higher speeds. The shop I took it to replaced the throttle sensor and it stopped.

    my experience with the 4L30E transmission during rebuild procedures make sure that they bore and sleeve the 1-2 servo a very common failure point in this particular unit causing slide bump 1-2 shifts after rebuild ESPECIALLY if the 1-2 band was burnt when the unit was dis-assembled for rebuild

    I have a 2000 Rodeo that does the exact same thing...only it will also cut out. It is like a bucking bronco....with the cruise control. I've had it unhooked, etc. but nothing works. This car has been nothing but a lemon. A shame becuase I had a Rodeo years ago and it was a gen.

    Can't help you w/ your problem, but I totally agree about not buying a Rodeo. I have an 01' Rodeo LSE and my cruise control engages on it's own, if I don't catch it within about 2 seconds and disengage it, the engine dies!     1 quart per 1k miles is the amount that is allowed by Isuzu. This is well documented and "normal". I put synthetic oil in and reduced it to 1 quart per 2k miles. -mike

    While I am not personally acquainted with your Rodeo, the EGR valve is very accessible and can be removed by unbolting two bolts and the electrical connector.     Did he use spark plugs that are listed in the Isuzu manual? If not, these can cause CEL to come on. At least this is the way my '00 Trooper is and I think the Rodeo is that way as well. I replaced EGR valve and the check engine light is still on when you start engine. i went to advance auto to check the trouble code. the code numbers are P1340(manfacurer control.ignition system or misfire) and P0300(random/multiple cylinder misfire detected).is there advice from you and thanks.

    chech engine light would not go off after i start the engine. sometime it is flashing and off...on..off and stay on.engine speedometer is ocillation betweem 1X1000 to 2X1000. engine will shutdown if you hit the break and stop. i have to restart it again.     I called the dealer about the oil leak and they said it is cover under the powertrain warranty. I brought it in last Saturday. It turn out to be some piston seal leaking and not the pan itself. It was repaired under the 10yrs/120k powertrain warranty and no charge for me. So I suggest anyone to try to utilize the Isuzu powertrain warranty first before spending one's own money.

    i put monroematics on 2000 rodeo w/v6...ride was still harsh...then i checked tire pressure...it was at max recommended for tires...cooper 245 70 r/16...35 psi....isuzu recommends 26 psi...lowered it to 28 psi and the ride is MUCH BETTER...just a heads up

    ....been reading about changing shocks to smooth out ride of rodeo...i've got 2000 w/ v6...put in monromatics...didn't help much..ride still bumpy..then i checked the air pressure on tires...245/70r16 coopers...pressure was 35 psi..which is psi stated on side of tire...isuzu recommends 26 psi...dropped pressure to 28 psi...ride is MUCH better...just a heads up...
