Brian, Have a 14 mm socket on a 1/2 drive ratchet ready. I drew a diagram of the way the belt routes and it's saved the each time I've had it off to either replace or do other maint. Hi! I've had the Rodeo for nearly 10 years and love it. However, the trasmission is now not shifting smoothly. I assume low fluid or fluid that needs to be replaced. The owner's manual says to replace the fluid every "X" miles. Hi I have a 1999 Isuzu Rodeo and been experiencing problems with steering. The wheel, does not return to the straight position after turning. The steering is tight when turning and will not return. Hi, saw your message, had the same issue with my 2002 rodeo with 12k miles. Serp belt with all cracks in it. I did mine myself all I used was a very large screw driver as a prybar on the belt tensioner so I can take the tension off and then slip the belt off. 10 minute job, DIY I made a drawing of the belt and pully setup so I new how it went back on. girlfriend has a 2wd 3.2 with 30k mi. original serpantine belt is developing minor cracks. she was quoted $70 to have it replaced. her uncle ( a previous Isuzu exec.) said that there were too many adjustments for me to replace it and save $40. I replaced the tensioner and belt on my old CAT C12. looked at the Isuzu and looks like a 5min. job. whatdya think? thanks, Brian. Read More...

I have the above error code T0507 on my 1999 Isuzu Rodeo and I was told be the shop that looked at it that I have to bring it to the dealer to get this fixed...the shop that looked at it said that they did all the things it said to do before bringing it in, cleaning some things and so forth, but that was Friday and now today and yesterday it did the same thing, the RPM's get stuck ... The most common thing I've been told about a sticking throttle problem is due to throttle body being dirty (where the valvle opens and closes). This isn't to bad to do, the air intake duct that comes from the air filter housing and plugs into the front top of the engine (the only really big duct connected to the eng.) has to be loosened, moved forward and out of the way, ...
