To all the people posting on this site, have any of you been reading or are any of you aware of the issues with the Rodeo and Passport vehicles? The rear driver's side torque bar rusts off and causes accidents or near accidents. There is currently a federal investigation in the process with the hopeful outcome being a recall. the engine in my 2000 Honda passport is shot, and I'm ready to swap it out with another good running motor. i was looking around on craigslist and found a rebuilt motor in great shape form a 1998 Isuzu rodeo, their the same type motor, i just don't know if the to years are compatible. does anyone know if the 1998 will fit into the 2000 without any major changes being made? Resubmit your info to NHTSA. I had to do it 2 times before I received a response/claim #. That was months before I received this e-mail letter. You also have to open a case with Isuzu or Honda, whichever vehicle you own. Actual case #, not just a phone call to them. File a complaint with the car company. i have a 1998 isuzu rodeo, V6 and its popping and firing out of the intake. It was running fine then lost power, thought it was the timing belt, timing belt was in tact and was dead on the marks, i went ahead and replaced it but still has same symptoms, help me please...could it be a valve clearance or rocker arm adjustment..any suggestions? thanks in advance. I was trying to change the spark plugs and wires on my wife's 1998 Rodeo. When I pulled the plug boot, there was oil on it. It was on the other three boots as well. I have a misfire in cylinder 2. I put a new set of wires on but, the idle is still rough and it doesn't accelerate like all 4 cylinders are firing. Why is there oil in on the boots? Should I wait until I figure out the ...
