I just picked up a 1993 Isuzu Rodeo, 4 wheel drive. It has a 5 speed manual transmission that is slipping. I would like to replace the clutch, but I am uncertain which transmission is in the Rodeo I purchased. Apparently, there are two different 5 speed tranny's for this year Rodeo. It is either the Mm5, or the Mau5c transmission. Does anyone know how to determine which transmission it is, ... Read More

sounds like a lose wire from the battery to starter check the red wire on the battery thats the one that goes to the starter , if it is lose tighten it up , and it will start fine

The recall will take time. The part on my vehicle and all the others that has rusted is the frame which holds the control arm to the rear driver's side. 1993 Isuzu Rodeo won't start

My '93 Isuzu Rodeo has been having problems starting for the last few days, ever since it passed its emissions test. I turn the key, "click", no start. The lights, radio, etc. work, so I don't think it's the battery. It's been starting after a few tries. Any ideas?

All you have to do is get a Haynes manual for Isuzu Rodeo & Amigo & the Honda Passport 1989 thru 2002. You can get it at Auto Zone, or most auto part stores for about 20 bucks. Installed my timing belt on my 1993 Isuzu Rodeo by it, and my timing is great. :)

I have a 1993 Rodeo S 4x4 5spd w/ 168K miles. Some of the things like callipers and aluminum rust on the alloys I have experienced, but over its entire life. I removed the console(cassette tapes/armrest) between the seats and bought the cupholder option which allows a single beverage. You have the 3.1L GM engine. In 1993 we were looking for a SUV. We looked at Pathfinder, Explorer, Bravada, 4Runner, Cherokee, and Rodeo. Based on features and price the Rodeo was less expensive and had more power.
