It's that time of year again. Time to head to Vegas to see how a purple Escalade with 26s looks and whether a Scion xB makes a good portable dj booth. Sound like ridiculous reasons to go to Vegas? They are, but that sure doesn't stop the thousands of people who crowd the Las Vegas Convention Center each year for the outrageous trade show known as SEMA (Specialty Equipment Marketing Association).

This annual gathering brings together virtually every aftermarket parts maker under one roof with each vendor vying to show off the latest and greatest new product. From wheels to hydraulics to DVD screens that fit on your steering wheel, nothing is out of the question at SEMA.

But aftermarket parts aren't the only things on display as major manufacturers have found that SEMA makes for an excellent test bed for new products that might not be ready for prime time just yet. All of the big guys show up and bring their latest toys to see what grabs attention and what gets a yawn. We covered it all regardless so you can decide for yourself and not have to drop $300 at the blackjack table in the process. Rest assured, if you like cars you're bound to like what we saw at SEMA.
