New York City has had several monikers since its inception -- the Algonquin Indians called it Mahatta (before getting royally ripped off), the Dutch settlers deemed it New Amsterdam, and it's been labeled the Naked City, Gotham, the Big Apple and the city that never sleeps by various wordsmiths. Currently, it's known as the site of the event that, well, we'll probably never forget.

But this, too, shall pass, life goes on, and most importantly, you can't keep a good city down. There are still teeming masses working, living and playing in this tiny strip of an island, stepping around construction sites infinitely erecting skyscrapers so tall that they seem like they're supporting the sky. Moreover, the Big Apple plays host to the 102nd New York International Auto Show at the Jacob Javits Center. While this show is more mellow and laid back than its Detroit counterpart, automakers always manage to sneak in surprises and important unveilings. Stay tuned to see and read about the latest.

The natives are still brash, the shopping is fantastic and there are still questionable items floating in the sidewalk vendor's pot where the hot dogs were boiled. It's good to be in New York again!
