LONDON, England — Ferrari and Officine Panerai have collaborated in the watch-making business since 2006, and yesterday at the 2008 British Auto Show, they marked the debut of the latest collections bearing the Ferrari name.
The 2008 collections, named Scuderia and Granturismo, are a combination of high style and expensive technology. Even the buttons of the watch are designed to resemble the taillights of a Ferrari.
The four new chronographs added for 2008 mean Officine Panerai now has 19 Ferrari-themed watches in its lineup. Prices range from $14,039 for the Ferrari 10 Days from the Scuderia Collection to $44,640 for the top-of-the-line Special Edition Ferrari Chronograph.
What this means to you: Although expensive, the Ferrari watch line does capture the sportiness and class Ferrari prides itself on. — Mike Lysaght, Correspondent
