I have 3 infiniti vehicles they all have problems. The worst is QX56 2006 well maintained that failed smog, problem is the 2 cat manifolds which will cost $2,700 to repair, Infiniti consumer affiars refused to help and only infiniti dealer can do this repair, I am sick and tired of infiniti. Anybody has this problem and what is the way out.
I'm very impressed with Lake Norman Infinity. I have had this roaring sound from what I thought was underneath the vehicle near the console area for almost two years. I have had the vehicle back to the dealership in Knoxville, TN, several times for the intermittent roar. No one could hear the noise/roar and had no idea what to do. The maintenance rep at Lake Norman heard the noise - a ... Read More
I continue to have an intermittent roaring noise coming from underneath my vehicle. Infinity Mechanics have not been able to find the problem after several visits to the shop in the past year and a half. My husband has been doing research on the vehicle and we are wondering if anyone has had a problem with the Vehicle Leveling Air Compressor making a roaring noise? Thanks. Mountain City, TN
I cant speak to availability of VPP on the vehicle you mentioned, but my local dealer indicated employees of vendors with Infiniti/Nissani can qualify for VPP. I am retired from an oil company who is on the list so cant qualify now but would have as an employee. I have a QX56 2011 with all three packages. Honestly, its the best vehicle I have owned including 14 Lexus's/Infiniti's (primarily LS and ... Read More
You guys who own 2006 QX56 Infinities have any idea what the roaring sound in my vehicle is? I've had the brake sound but knew that was okay but this roaring concerns me. It's not a constant but intermittent roar and sounds like it's underneath the vehicle. Any ideas or anyone had this happen? Still waiting for someone who knows what this may be. Thanks.
I am so sorry. My QX56 was my third Infiniti and was sold on them. The first two never cost me a dime over routine maintenance. The QX56 required too many trips to the dealership between maintenance, recalls, and other problems. The problems were never cheap, but never cost me that much at one time. I just recently traded my 2006 in for a MB 350 Bluetec and could not be ... Read More
Just test drove it and got a quote for lease. Awesome drive nos 1 and very luxurious. I have a 2008 QX and no comparision between the new one and mine. I expect to get a black/black 4wd with entertainment system and bench rear seat when it arrives, due in soon. The residual is 54% I believe and money factor is good too, similar to the 2.9% purchase interest rate available ... Read More
Can anyone advise me in reference to the exact warranty offered when u purchase an new infinity(years and miles) my 2006 qx56 has 42k miles and I'm wondering when that expires thru dealer
My 2006 infinity that I just purchased vibrates over and aroun d 100mph! Although I shudnt b driving that fast I still had to test it out is that normal or another flaw with the suspension? Hi: I have a 2006 QX56 that is about to expire on warranty. I have contacted various Infiniti Dealerships throught the country trying to find the best deal on the 3yr./ 36K extended warranty with $100.00 deductible. The best price that is verifiable is $1680.00. Does anyone recommend a dealership that has a better price? I also know regardless where you are located, you can buy it from any Infiniti Dealership ... Read More
I believe it does keep the vehicles cleaner. I even put the stuff on the wheels to keep the brake dust away. Have you ever had a black vehicle before? I ask b/c black paint jobs are notorious for showing fine scratches and "swirling" in the paint. The Infiniti black might do a better job than most from showing those scratches/swirls since it has a pearl effect, but things like drive ... Read More
Thanks Keg, that's good information. I think you right about February and March. I think they will continue to deal. Intersesting information that I got today from a dealer who is trying to push a really bad price off on me. He noted that the following: "December sales nationwide of the QX56 showed 1316 units sold, or a 14.3% increase over 2006. Why would Infiniti push to move them with markdowns, ... Read More
I hope i'm wrong. But on many cars 1/3 'rd of the price, if you forget to lock your doors, and attempt to drive, the doors will automatically lock.I have a 2006 qx56 and the list of safety features is incredible, rear view advanced predictive braking the list goes on and on but.. HOW IN THE HECK DID THEY FORGET TO LOCK THE DOORS FOR YOU IF YOU FORGET!! MINIVANS HAVE ... Read More
Not officially. ;) There's more action over in the Armada group, if you're willing to consider that one a twinned vehicle.
Hey, is this forum officially dead or what?
Hi schmitz1. Not only is there a limited number of 2006 QX56 models left on dealers' lots, Infiniti is no longer providing lease support on the '06 model. If you want to lease one through Infiniti Financial Services right now, its money factor will be an unattractive .00285. On the plus side, the '06 QX56 has $5,000 dealer cash available on it that you can use to negotiate a lower capitalized ... Read More
No problem, lalakrsfan. Unfortunately, the $3,500 dealer cash that Infiniti is providing on the 2006 QX56 is not compatible with Infiniti Financial Services' special lease program. I don't expect Infiniti to increase the cash incentives that it is providing on the '06 QX56 much mast the $3,500 dealer cash and the up to $3,000 in dealer cash certificates that dealers can use on it right now. Of course, it is difficult ... Read More
I might add that I have carried 2,400lbs of ceramic tile about 10 miles one time. Seats all folded flat, spread the load out as flat as I could. The rear compressor pumped the QX almost level, and it was fine driving. I could feel the extra weight accelerating and turning, but no damage done.
The GVWR for my '04 4wd is 7099lbs. I don't think there is much differance from year to year (yet).
Can anyone, who owns an 2006 Infinity QX56, pls let me know what is the Gross vehicle weight (GVWR) for their vehicle. The GVWR number can usually be found on an embossed label attached to the inside edge of the driverís side door.
Car Man--need your help ASAP My husband is finalizing a deal with Infiniti for a 2006 Infiniti QX56 with DVD and Sunroof. Nissan Armada/Infiniti QX56 - thing looks like a 1957 Rambler on steroids. Hideous! Hummer H1 & H2: Wasteful monstrocities. Hummer H3: Tonka toy for poseurs. Honda Element: This grotesquery exists only because it has "Honda" on it. If this were a GM vehicle, it would've long since been laughed off the market. Scion xB: Leave postal truck design to AM General. All GM "bottlenose" minivans. Pig-nosed Camry: Sure, the old Camry ... Read More
Hi shd1. If you were to lease a 2006 Infiniti QX56 AWD through Infiniti Financial Services right now for 36 months with 15,000 miles per year, its buy rate lease money factor and residual value should be .00180 and 52%, respectively. The numbers for an otherwise identical 39 month lease should be .00197 and 51%. Using these numbers, an MSRP of $56,982, and a selling price of $54,000, I estimate that ... Read More
I did weeks of research on the QX56 and decided to buy our 2006 last week(got 3,000 off sticker). Infiniti did not want to launch an all out recall for the brakes but did create a larger and thicker rotor that has fixed the problem. To date I love this truck. I have a 01 Denali also, the Infiniti is so much nicer to drive. My daily driver is an 04 ... Read More
No problem mlively. The lease money factor that you were quoted looks a little high to me. Infiniti Financial Services' current buy rate lease money factor for a lease of a 2006 QX56 AWD is .00208 for 36 months and .00205 for 39 months. It looks to me as though the dealer that you are working with is marking your truck's money factor up. Neither of the two typical innocent reasons ... Read More
I've got the 2006 QX56 (4WD). I love the roominess inside...loads of headroom and legroom! The only gripes I have deal with some minor cosmetics and ride comfort. For a "luxury" vehicle, I expected a bit more of a smooth and comfortable ride. No problem on smooth roads and highways..but if you encounter some bumps (even small ones), you'll know it. I wish Infiniti had put more into the vibration damping ... Read More
landshark55: I've had no work yet done on my 2006 QX56..I have only 1500 miles on it (I bought it with 27 miles on it). Have you tried other dealerships? When I was dealing with Chantilly Infiniti, they also told me they needed $2500 to place an order. But, why order when you can check online to see other dealers' inventory. Chantilly Infiniti drag their feet in my opinion. The dealership ... Read More
Hey nomar69. I'm in the chantilly area as well and was wondering if you have had any service work done yet at Infiniti of Chantilly? I don't like their $2500 deposit either, but I guess I'm stuck with it. Am in the process of ordering an 06, can't decide on 2nd row seating tho. Do you know if the bench has outboard heaters or not?
I have owned my 2004 QX56 since May '04. It is a beautiful car, plenty of room, nice amenities, etc. Our first problem was the heated seats a few days after we got it, which needed 4 times to get it right. The backup sensor still isn't right but they finally figured out the problem this month (from a factory memo finally) and ordered a part (here it is October 2005) ... Read More
I picked up my '06 QX56 last night from Rosenthal Infiniti (Tyson's Corner, VA). They pretty much gave me the best deal. The MSRP was $54,672 and I was able to get it for $52,500. Out the door, it came to $53,803.57. I even did better than Edmunds' TMV price of $53,956 (and that doesn't even include TTL). Despite the views that I've read about Rosenthal Infiniti, I found them to ... Read More
J.D. Power's Initial Ratings give the 2005 qx56s the lowest score for Mechanical Quality, Body and Interior Quality, and Overall Quality. So for all who think that buying a 2005 is safe because the first year glitches have been worked out you better think again. Will the 2006s be any good? I would stay away. infiniti claims that after 5 times in the shop that my qx56 performs better than new ... Read More
Hey everyone. I am in the market for a new car. My choices are Nissan Armada, Inifiniti QX56, and BMW 545i. All cars loaded. I am leaning towards the Armada and QX.
